Perfect compatible part for your caravan roof light. Different colour covers to match the colour of your frame. The job entails prizing the old caps off the pins, it’s a bit of a awkward job, easy way, make a hole in the plastic bung, and pry’s it out, you have new ones in the kit.

These are a good quality replacement item. They work well and came well packaged. My only criticism is the lack of clarity of instructions for installation. However, a YouTube video showed a trick to remove the grommets. Speaking of the grommets, it was useful to be supplied a selection in different colours so I could match the rest of my trim. Overall, I would recommend and would purchase again.

Perfect fit as replacements for a pair of similar, failed units (after lasting over twenty years) Easy to fit. A bit pricey, but if they last as long as the previous ones, pretty good value!

I had found a video on YouTube showing how to remove the old gas struts and fit the new ones. One of the problems is getting the old caps off in order to remove the pins that secure the two ends of the struts, and it seems that damaging them is inevitable. In an only partially-successful attempt to avoid scuffing the surround, I drilled a hole in the plastic caps and used that hole to lever them out with a bradawl. On the opening part, I was unable to get a screwdriver blade under the metal caps and ended up drilling those out too. So I was very glad that I had opted for the full kit that includes new caps and pins. I was therefore rather disappointed to find that the new plastic caps were just a shade too small, which meant I had to secure them with a tiny amount of clear silicone sealant to prevent them falling out at the next bumpy bit of road. For that reason I can't quite give a full five-star rating. Other than that, the kit supplied was very good. There are even three different colours of plastic cap supplied to match different surrounds. With the new struts fitted, the rooflight goes up and down smoothly and stays securely in the fully-open position, so I can count this as a successful job.

Perfecta sustitución para la claraboya HEKI 2. La instalación requiere habilidad y maña. Aún así dañe un poco intentando sacar los tapones y corchetes. Para poner los corchetes de arriba se necesita presión. Yo use un sargento pequeño. Recomiendo comprar con el kit de montaje.
