Product description ------------------- Bestwood Danish Oil has a smooth, low sheen finish that penetrates and nourishes wood, before sealing and providing a long lasting and hard wearing water resistant barrier. Bestwood Danish Oil is naturally water, food and alcohol resistant. It is safe for food contact when dry and can be used for worktops, salad s and chopping boards. It is EN71 part 3 toy safe. Danish Oil is extremely versatile and can be used on almost any wooden surface, including interior and exterior furniture, skirting boards, gates, children’s play areas, kitchen worktops and food preparation areas etc. Danish Oil is easy to maintain. Re-application of one or two thin coats once a year will keep wood looking naturally 'fresh'. Damaged or scratched areas can easily be maintained by reapplication. Danish Oil is suitable for use with exterior oak and teak. Application. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean and dry and free of dirt, dust, and/or polish. Remove all dirt and grease before application of Danish Oil. For aged wood sand back to a clean ‘bright’ surface and wipe with white spirit to remove all dust and debris. Best applied with a lint-free cloth (e.g. T-shirt material). May also be applied with a good quality brush. Danish Oil should be applied liberally and evenly. When using a cloth, use a circular or figure of eight pattern to work into the wood, and apply until the wood stops absorbing. Allow to penetrate for 20-30 minutes before wiping off any excess with a lint-free cloth. For new wood 3-4 coats may be applied. Allow to dry overnight between coats. Repeated application might bring a slight gloss to the finish. Coverage: 10-15 m2 per litre per coat, depending upon porosity, surface texture and thickness applied. Important: Danish oil will bring out the natural colour of the wood. Always test the product on an inconspicuous area to ensure satisfaction. Safety Warning -------------- Flammable.
