Bought to connect an old Star LC10 Dot Matrix Printer to a Linux Laptop. It worked perfectly. Will need to comment later on how it holds up with regular use, as I have just started using it. Fit good. Connectivity good. Value - good.

I bought this cable to connect a recently acquired HP LaserJet 4p to my PC, which has no parallel ports (the LaserJet is an early HP model from 1993 that has parallel and serial ports, but no USB). Under Windows 10, the cable and printer were recognised immediately and there was no need to install any drivers. Yes, the cable is a bit more expensive than some of the cheaper offerings but it's not exorbitant and it does the job well (so far).

Tried to install a printer, attached with this, as a parallel port device on the basis that this is what it was emulating, and didn't work. Was on point of returning it and then told it to use USB, this worked. Might seem obvious but not when there are no instructions.

Great product. We'll packaged and worked a treat for my ancient HP450c. It was delivered quickly and is a quality item. It's also half the price of anything I found on ebay. If you have the same printer you need to remember to configure the printer to use the usb port and find a suitable driver which took me a little while and a bit of Google searching to suss. If I can find the link I'll repost it here. Now if anyone can tell me how to manually clean the heads lol

Bought this as a last attempt at getting an old Datamax printer working for a work project.... we had an old printer that was parallel port only which then worked its way to a serial port, then converted into ethernet which then terminated into a local machine (Not even networked).... thought it would be a case of reinstall drivers and getting the printer working... how wrong was I... hours wasted. I nearly scrapped the lot and was looking at a replacement printer. but as a final attempt I saw this and thought i would give it a go. Arrived promptly (thank you Amazon deliver peeps) and was packaged beautifully (opening the box is 80% of the fun). All I can say is that within minutes I had the printer working from my Windows 11 machine (only 6 months old) running the Datamax which is what I think printed the boarding passes for the Titanic. Over the moon and saved me hundreds of pounds

Seems reasonable quality, delivered quickly, unfortunately failed to work connecting a Windows 10 or Windows XP computer to an old Epson dot matrix printer. Reasonable value for money. I shall keep it for further attempts.....

I needed to get an old Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4plus printer working on a new build windows 10 PC for my father. Whilst searching around this version of a simple cable came up so I thought as it's Sabrent (a make I'd actually heard about) I' ll give it a go. Although it doesn't state it works with windows10 it worked without issue. All in all a nice quailty cable that fitted the old parallel printer port perfectly and really is just plug and play.

Ever wondered if that old printer can be used on a modern computer? Well with this lead it can. Worked first time exactly as needed. OK, the printer is old and not worth much but it still works so why not keep it going? I have replacement toner for 20,000 pages and this lead works perfectly.
