Works great so far!
So at first I struggled to get these on. Then I sat behind the kit when attaching them and it finally clicked, literally and figuratively. Face the clip toward you as if the mic is on it with teeth face backwards. Place the curved part near the drum skin and rock the clip backwards until it secures itself on the rim. At first, you will think that it’s too close but actually once you mount the clip and tighten the thumb screw on the clip, you can adjust it however, you need to. I have a vintage Ludwig 18” oversized floor Tom and the rest are all DW Customs and the clips fit on both. I’m gonna buy two more for the snare. Sennheiser wanted $40+ a clip for the original 604E Tom Mics. F that noise! So far these look like they’re gonna work out great. Much cleaner look without all the stands. Time will tell but so far I’m loving these things. I hope this review helps some of you guys and gals use these things properly.

These Work Well on my Snare Drums.
These work well on my various snare drums. One of the rims wasa little skinnier thatn the others, so I had to clip right next to the lug, but still worked. I have not used them gigging, so don't know how they would stand up to that. Price is right.

So far so good!
I think I’ve had these for close to a month. Set them up with mics pretty much immediately and as I sit here, the mics and clips are still in their proper place.

Hard plastic, jaw too tight.
I just received these rim mounts today so I haven't had much of a chance to use them but I did clip them on my drums with much effort (Sonor with triple flanged hoops). The plastic is very hard and the rim clip part was initially way too small to fit so I had to bend them opened a bit. A fracture line began to appear (same as in another review). The little clip that is supposed to hold the mic cable is a bit small also. I was able to force one in but I was afraid of damaging the cable. My initial thought was to return these immediately but figured I'd give them a try. They hold the mics (behringer c-2, small diaphragm condensors) very well and are easily adjustable for mic position. Im not sure I would count on these to be clipped on and off a hundred times over the years. I would NOT rely on them for tour or projector sound company. I'll test their "shock resistance" soon. They're worth the CHEAP price tag. I'll downgrade to one star after they break. The design is nearly identical to the Senheiser rim mounts but these are much harder plastic (more brittle) compared to the Senheiser. I do expect them to break.
