OEM Rear Back Glass Replacement for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 6.4 inches with Reparing Toolkit and Pre-Installed Adhesive (Midnight Black)

I bought this after replacing a failed battery in my Note 9 which destroyed the back glass. If you are replacing the battery in a Note 9 be sure to buy this as it is nearly impossible to open that particular phone without destroying the back. Luckily this replacement glass was relatively inexpensive, looks absolutely identical to the factory OEM glass and is easy to install. This kit comes with literally everything that you need including a very nice little screwdriver and some soft plastic prying tools to make the job easy. Now my phone has a new battery, new glass and looks and acts like a brand new phone again! I would absolutely recommend this as it is a well thought out, complete kit with everything you need to fix the back glass on your phone. It is also an excellent value for the money.

Fits like original, better seal-confidence because I did it, extra tube of adhesive, tools received are metal not plastic. Having adhesive pre-applied to the glass leaves little room for fitment error. I laid replacement on phone, heated with blow dryer on high 4 minutes-warm to my touch, pressed and squeezed lightly to be safe (it is made of glass) and done. Let cool for 10 minutes, placed on charger. Takes about 20 minutes to accomplish from my opening repair kit having done this for the first time with my back cover already removed. Back cover removal took longer since the previous repair was done at a repair shop that actually broke my cover and used tubed adhesive not a repair kit. Saved 75 dollars and have a phone that looks new. I would have provided a photo but camera is on phone. Worked out great, very easy to fix broken back glass due to cracking my old one doing a battery upgrade.

This back was about as easy to install as it can be, Samsung really didn't make this process easy but this backing and the instruction do what they can. The fingerprint reader still works flawlessy. However, the adhesive didn't seem to stick very well at all. It was almost like it was old and had lost all sticking power. I even tried heating it up and keeping pressure on it. It would just barely stay on but it left a small kind of spongy gap around the edge. The old adhesive was fully cleaned before installing this one too. The back also seems far more delicate than the original Samsung. Within a month it had some minor cracking just from living in my pocket. If you need a new back this one will work but I'd recommend putting a protective case on the phone to prevent problems.

OEM defined by Google... "OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer. In the business world, this means a company that makes a product to be sold by another company under its own name. Every part as it exits the factory is an original part. Anything that is replaced, is no longer an original part. However, OEM parts are the same as the original in the sense that they are made by the same manufacturer, with the same materials, to the same specifications." This back is not glass like the original equipment. This is a much thinner, simple piece of plastic. Not bad looking and fine with a case. But certainly not OEM. Also, the description explains fingerprint reader is not included (and it is not) so not sure why it is asking me to rate the quality of the fingerprint reader.

If including a packet of B-7000, one of the best adhesives on the market, was the only accessory item included, that itself would stand out, but after that you get all the other must have things you need to replace your case cover--the plastic guitar picks, the metal splurge thing, tweezers, suction cup, a dry/wet paper towel packet and even a decent enough instructional guideline--the most important of which is to look at some how to videos before you start--sadly, my phone seems to need its share of case cover replacements over the years, but for all of the needed accessories included this replacement package is far and away the best I've ever had--did I mention they even include rubbers bands to hold the ends together after you finish reassembly?.
