TOPWIT 1.6L Electric Pot with Steamer

Fast to boil and works great boiling egg noodles, etc.

I freaking use this thing to cook everything that will fit and even caught myself trimming meat to fit in it. It cooks pretty good it's got two heat settings "hot and I'm assuming Hell" just last night I made "drop in the pot stew" started by sauteing garlic and butter from a cold pot and I but a dab of butter in and added garlic , and turned on low, and almost instantaneously i heard butter starting to sizzle, (so be sure keep constantly stirring if applicable), it's not coated with anything, it's just stainless steel or something like that but no ceramic. But it will clean up fairly easily, I mean you don't need no heavy equipment or anything just the basic dish cleaning accoutrements. I do recommend it though it's a pretty good pot that heats very quickly and it's actually built pretty good! Also makes a pretty good and fast, cheeseburgers, thinking about cutting a London broil in half sear it up , dump in onions, cream of bacon and cream of celery soup chicken broth and let it cook til time to add a few baby red potatoes till tender, unplug , grab a cold beer , head out ondeck and enjoy it with high definition mother nature, eat and reboot ....cheer's

I ordered this a month ago, and it works great so far. It's small but makes more than enough food for one person. So far, I've made pasta, rice, steamed corn on a cob, steamed veggies, and boiled eggs repeatedly, and they all turned out great. Every time I fry something, the pot automatically turns off and on to keep it from burning. I would appreciate this feature, except sometimes it takes a while to turn back on. The manual instructed me to fix this in case it happens, but it still serves as an inconvenience. Another trouble is the cleaning/washing. The instructions say to keep the outside of the pot dry, which is counterintuitive. I wash the inside only and avoid the part where you insert the plug, but I can't confidently say that no water has spilled onto the outside while washing. The last thing that bothered me was that one part of the pot got hotter than the other. I know this may happen to most (if not all) hot pots, but if I happen to fry something, it'll make a burn mark on that one side, which is tough to clean later. Overall, it works great, my food is delicious, and I'm not mad.

I love this pot. I take it with me when I travel so I cook in the hotel room. I used to bring a portable gas stove, bowl and pot. Now I just bring this electric pot. So much easier. Heats up quickly and easy to clean.

BUY IT! I never write reviews. I own 4 of these. For home, office, my dad's place, and a backup. It's how I eat healthy. You can steam fresh veggies from a bag and fresh chicken for about 30 min and have a healthy meal anytime. Grill your chicken in advance and refrigerate it; you can cut the cook time down to 15 minutes. It steams leftover steak and fish to taste like freshly cooked. Throw in a cup of parboiled rice or cut up a sweet potato (if not on a low-carb diet), and you're done. Buy it and use it! This thing will change your life for the better! I can't think of anything else I've ever bought for under 50 bucks that has made such a difference.

Excellent product from Amazon! Pot quality is very good . But one important improvement needed from the manufacturer: power line too short and does not connect well. I have to use power line from a different brand.

The good stuff:This was a good entry level purchase for this type of item, so I could learn if I would end up truly using it outside of the house without a huge buy-in. It also let me learn the limits of what I can and cannot cook in something like this.The size is very convenient for storage in relatively small spaces (I keep the power cord in the pot, the steamer inserted, and the lid on top, inverted, and that fits neatly in a small shelf in a shared cabinet at work.)-The bad stuff:The two settings are so incredibly different and both still too high. The 'High' setting I only ever used to boil water, as when cooking, even with oil, it was incredibly hard not to burn the food. The 'Low' setting is also what I might refer to as 'medium' or even 'medium high' on a regular stovetop.Around a year in, I noticed that one side was not really cooking at all, but the other side was at regular heat, so that made cooking anything far more difficult/awkward. This seems to be pretty commonplace, though, the uneven heat. It's just that it took nearly a year for it to start happening with my unit.Cleaning is. Bit awkward with a lot of this style of pot, as you cannot separate the cooking surface to scrub it, as you can with a crockpot or many rice coolers. It makes cleaning it tedious while trying to to let water get anywhere outside of that metal inner surface lest the electronics inside be damaged.

Heats fast and cooks well. It's not heavy. Easy to clean and store also.

Works like a charm and heats up fast. Have to be careful washing it, but avoiding getting the components wet in case of electrical malfunction can be a bit tricky. I'm pretty careful, but it can be easy enough to let water get into where it shouldn't on this thing. Overall, it's a great, functional product for a single person cooking quick and easy meals or just simply heating up some leftovers.
