Like all GFB lightweight pulleys, these begin life as a single 6061-T6 aluminium alloy billet, which is then precision CNC machined to exacting tolerances. They are then anodized black for a stealthy appearance and superior wear resistance. Then significant weight saving gives a reduction in rotation inertia allowing the engine to rev more freely. This kit includes 3 Pulleys and belts. The kit improves: - Sharper throttle response - Engine feels more willing to rev - Stronger "urge" If you are unsure if this item will fit your car please contact us before ordering The kits are made from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminium and offer faster acceleration through significant weight reduction on the crankshaft. Most GFB lightweight pulleys are underdriven, which means the accessories are driven slightly slower to reduce parasitic losses. GFB pulley kits are designed to improve acceleration by reducing the rotational mass (inertia) on the crankshaft as well as parasitic loads from the driven accessories. The effect is similar to a lighter flywheel, and the engine feels more lively and willing to rev. As for the possible adverse effects of lightweight pulleys and underdriving, rest assured GFB have done their homework! The underdrive ratios have been optimised so there are NO adverse effects on the performance, and whilst it is true that some engins do suffer harmonic issues from lightweight pulleys, we steer clear of those.
