Fat Brain Toys Sensory Rollers

These are lovely silicon toys. They are sturdy and yes, a bit weighty. But I feel like that's fairly evident in their description, as they are entirely composite of food grade silicon. They aren't hallow silicon balls, they are a tennis ball sized piece of textured silicon with a presumably metal chime inside. I prefer a solid toy that is dishwasher safe to a hollow toy with black mold inside of it any day. They'd be great fidgets for older children, and wonderful sensory toys for young children within the age recommendations. For me and those using them as fidget toys the weight is a nice bonus and a sign of good quality silicon. They don't have a harsh smell and were only a bit dusted from the molds upon arrival. I rinsed them off and the powdery residue mostly came off. The powder isn't even visible its so fine and inconsequential, I'm just very sensitive to textures. I love the color selection and how quiet the chimes are. I believe my students with special needs would be quite happy with them, even if they are far outside the age recommendation. I like that they are food grade and solid, as I believe even a heavy biter would be hard set to damage them. Overall I'm thrilled with them. Get them for the young person with autism spectrum in your life, or babies that can sit up and thus not drop the ball directly onto their face. Cliffnotes: I like the weight and that they are solid because I don't want my students playing with a hallow toy that can get black mold in it (its all too common). Would recommend them outside the age range listened, especially for children on the autism spectrum or who have sensory issues/need a soothing toy.

I was looking for safe non toxic balls for my baby to play with and these are great! They are silicone and can be boiled for sanitizing which I love and they have little bells inside which she loves and aren’t too loud. She loves chewing on them, tossing them off her high chair, and loves the bright colors, especially the orange! They are pretty heavy though so I wouldn’t recommend giving them to your baby while they are on their back because they would hurt if they accidentally fell on their face.

These are great toys! They do have some weight to them, so it took my little one a little bit longer to be able to pick them up on her own. She loves the different textures and the light noises each one makes. I would definitely purchase them as a gift in the future.

I bought these a couple of months ago for my 4 month old. I know they are listed for 6 months and up, but he was interested in both balls and bell noises at the time, so I went for it. Honestly, 4 months was a little too young. The balls are relatively large and heavier than I expected, so my son couldn't lift them without using both hands. He also couldn't get his mouth around them, and that seems to frustrate him. He still enjoyed swatting them around on the floor though. At seven months old, the texture of the balls do a lot more to keep him entertained and help him hold the object. As for teething, though, the size isn't great. he'll try to bit a little, drool on them a whole lot, and then give up. I think some parents will enjoy that the sound the toys make is not loud at all, but personally that disappointed me. I was hoping they would each have a distinct bell noise, but it's much more like a clinking sound. Overall, I think they're kind of expensive for how much enjoyment my son got out of them. However, I still think the price is fair because they're clearly very well made. Every baby is different, and I think my son just didn't love them the way another baby might.

I was hesitant to buy this because of the warning reviews about how heavy they are. On the box these say 6m+ and I feel like that is accurate. My daughter is 6 months old. I had these out on the floor with a few other items I just purchased and she reached for these right away. The weight presented a new challenge she was excited about immediately. First she rolled them around with her feet and then she used both hands to pick one up. Now just a few days later she can hold them and shake them in one hand. Challenging your child is a good thing. Would these be appropriate for a child who cannot yet sit up? No probably not, but they aren't advertised for under 6 months. I think they're fantastic and I love that they're silicone. I was searching for sensory balls that weren't plastic and finally found these gems. Highly recommend

At this point my 6 month old grandson isn’t as fascinated with these balls as I am. I think they are good quality. I like the noise they make—pleasant tinkling sounds. I like that they are silicone so my grandson can mouth them without me being concerned about toxic plastics. They are very heavy—-weighted.

My wife and I discovered these -actually our 16 month old discovered- at a local children’s play museum. He loved them right away! They’re textured, durable, easy to hold, and have a very dull “bell” inside which is exciting to baby but not annoying to mommy and daddy. The gift shop at the museum was out of stock, so I took to amazon with the brand and found these exact ones. He loves them so much!

My little guy likes them. They are heavy, so for an older baby. If the baby picks them up while laying on his back and drops it, it will hurt his face. The silicone attracts a lot of dust and hair. Wipe with an e-cloth.

Ho acquistato queste palline per mio figlio di 6 mesi. Semplicemente le adora! Le palline sono abbastanza pesanti ed hanno dei colori molto vivaci, all'esterno sono in silicone e grazie alla loro superficie riescono ad essere afferrate saldamente dalle piccole manine dei bimbi. La cosa che le rende speciali è il fatto che al loro interno vi è un sonaglio, uno diverso per palla e, se gettate a terra, rimbalzano. Le consiglio!

Silicone is one of the safest materials for babies. It costs because it is durable. My eight-month old daughter did NOT find these to be too heavy. She was able to pick them up and roll them. She LOVES them, as other commenters mentioned very easy to clean. HIGH QUALITY product. I will definitely be buying more!

Li ho comprati per il mio bimbo ma sono troppo pesanti per lui da maneggiare! Il suono interno è perfetto e sono molto soffici, non semplicissimo da pulire perché ci sono tante rientranze, al momento comunque piacciano più a me che a mio figlio 😅
