Just had a new shed built and wanted to add some additional security. This works perfect. Added to the door so I'm alerted whenever someone opens it and if the alarm is set to home or away it will sound the alarm. Just as I wanted.

I’ve got the Abode home security system, which I love. It is widely compatible with all kinds of home automation stuff. These door alarms have been going strong since 2018 without a single battery change.

Insstalled these sensors to monitor three doors in my home in conjunction with my Abode IOTA security system. Installation was a breeze and replaced my existing ADT sensors. Response is immediate and you have the option of being notified or not when the window/door is open or closed. A tip, make sure you pair your sensors prior to adhering them to door or window, it just makes it a lot easier.

Fast shipping. Bought it to replace an Abode in door sensor that could not connect to system. Very easy to install and it immediately connected to abode through Wi-Fi. It is a good distance from the base, but it connected without problems.

I bought 3, at first I was impressed...until I became depressed a few days after the installation, from time to time, they just stopped working and make you believe that the door is open. At first, it was very stressful . The first time I just left my job to rush home. But after a few small 'alarms', I started calling my retired neighbors to go check on my door. Slowly you get used to false alarms...after multiple events: you start to think 'well...it's ok, there is probably no door open and no thief. It was a little more complex at night, even though I was present in the house I didn't really want to leave my warm bed (and my nude girlfriend) for ... nothing! I remember the 1st time: It's 4am, my phone started to vibrate to announce an open door, it woke us up, she panicked....after a few events, she used to say 'not again ...' and if she had signs of stress, i just had to tell her "no, there is no one in the house" and when she replied "but what about my 5 years old kid?" my usual answer became "we'll see tomorrow if he's still there..." But your girlfriend keeps stressing out (for days and night alarms) and started to be annoying... and at one point there is only 3 options left: 1) you ask you neighbors to camp in front of your door 2) change your GF and 3) throw away that piece of junk. This whole experience made me believe that the best combo was probably option 2 and 3... but after a few couple therapy and the execution of option 3, everything came back to ...almost...normal. Abode made me understand that sometimes even the smallest details can impact greatly your relationships. oh yeah..and that you should never trust Abode door sensors
