Is the string long enough to tie around a mason jar?

The tags I received has a string long enough to reach around the neck or a standard size (not wide mouth) jar, but there is too little left to tie a good knot.

I need to wrap the wire around a 6" diameter filter. Will the wire be long enough?

NO! For the most part, each wire end is 5.5 inches ... so with both there would be roughly 11 inches for wrapping and twist allowance ... but your circumference is approx. 18.85 inches. (C=2 times pi times radius)

Where are these tags made?

The tags are made of Manila colored cardboard, they have reinforcing grommet where the wire loop is attached.
