As someone who handles all their own pool maintenance, from balancing shock treatments to managing skimmers, I have tried almost every brand and type of filter media out there. After putting these filter balls to the test, I can confidently say they work the best. They catch finer debris than my previous media, keeping the water incredibly clear with noticeably less effort on my part. They are lightweight, easy to maintain, and frankly, they out-perform much more expensive name brands. If you are looking for superior filtration without overspending, these are an absolutely great value for the money.

These work really well. I have a 4500 gal above ground pool in Florida. The water gets very warm in summer. I wash these in my washing machine every 6 to 8 weeks. As soon as I see algae I wash them. They are excellent and my pool is very clear.

I have had these in my sand filter for three years now. Before I was using sand ,we always had sand in the pool no matter how we adjusted the level.We installed these and experienced better filtration , and lower pump pressure with much higher flow. Which in my mind equates to more water being filtered. Now with that said I have noticed that the muck they filter plugs the filter balls up when left through the winter and back flushing won’t clear them up.So every spring I take them out of the filter place them in a netted laundry bag and run them through the wash machine with no soap and just cold water ,they come out like brand new and the filter works fine for the whole season.

I ordered 2 of these so that I can have some for my sand pump while im washing the old ones. I love that I dont have to deal with sand. These helped take my pool from looking like a swamp to just the most crystal blue I have ever seen

Great for sand filters, especially if youre on a well. This easily filtered out the iron and manganese in my pool water. This (paired with a vevor sand filter pump) was able to turn my 12000 gallon pool that had was brown/orange due to metals in the water. Beats the old bucket method.

Used in 19" sand filter, followed prescribed amount, debris cycled back into pool. Added more balls ( to total of 9 lbs. of them) as another reviewer mentioned, but still total fail. Vacuumed pool clean to waste, tried backflush, no effect, still returned debris into pool. Took out balls, cleaned them & reinstalled, still didn't filter. This media not working as claimed at all!! Stay away!! I went back to sand which filtered perfectly. Returning failed product not meeting its claims!!

We have a sand filter and have always had some sort of sandy residue in our pool. We decided to try that, as we heard they work better than sand. These little fluffy balls are amazing! Our pool has never been more clear! We have been swapping them out every 3 weeks. Never going back to sand again!!!
