Dee Zee DZ6170P Poly Crossover Tool Box - Full Size 70"

Aluminum crossover tool boxes have gotten lighter gauged and much more expensive recently. I decided to try a plastic one for cost reasons and durability. This box is not quite large enough, but I will use it. Five inches narrower in width than full sized boxes makes a significant difference in interior space. If you can go with the smaller space, this is a very good value for the money. It is strong and well built.

Well, What shall I say ? It does fit on my silverado truck, Ok that is the positive. Here is the NEGATIVE, CRAPPY LOCKING SYSTEM, It took me 30 minutes to get the lock latched, then 2 days later when i needed to open it, It would not unlock, Had to pry the lid open like a thief, Once I got it open, I had to take the cheap locking rod off and threw it on my scrap pile, Now I have a decent looking box, THAT DOES NOT LOCK, I will probably put a hasp on the box and use a padlock, I would be ashamed to sale something this cheap, Don't walk away from this box, RUN RUN RUN

Fit perfect, good quality. Doesn’t lock. You can turn the lock but it still opens.

After being in the Florida sun for 3 years with no more than 50lbs of items stored, the box warped almost 1in on each end and had to be discarded as it would no longer latch. A simple steel angle riveted to the inside of the box would prevent this.

It isn't quite as big as I needed, but that was my fault for not measuring items to go in it before I bought it. Nevertheless, this box is far more sturdy than an aluminum box of a comparable price. It also looks very good on my F250!

Product arrived with one key broken off in the lock. Called DEE ZEE customer service and asked them if they would send a new lock cylinder and key. They refused. They said send the product back to them, but they would NOT pay for the return shipping cost. Then I tried to slide the locking latch only to realize it would not latch unless I actually sat on top of the box to apply enough downward pressure to allow the latch to slide. I think that the seller’s Quality Control is severely lacking at best and more than likely non existent. Their Customer Service isn’t a whole lot better either. I wouldn’t even consider buying another product from this company.

No issues with the toolbox. This is the third one I’ve purchased for a few fleet vehicles I use in my business.

The width is fine but depth is shallower the in the pics

About the quality you expect for the price. Mine arrived locked, with the keys taped to the inside. I had to drill the lock out to access the keys...

Same length as aluminum but not as wide . Disappointed but my own fault for not checking all the detentions
