so, so happy!! great value!
We are so happy with this kit. We were able to afford the cable lighting that my husband and I hoped to have "some day". Custom assemblies and other kits are so much more pricey. We bought 2 for our kitchen. After we removed the drop ceiling, we discovered a beam that can't be removed, so we kept the soffits. The cables run between them on either side of the beam. They cast unique light/shadows on the ceiling. In time, we hope we don't have the transformer issues that some people have. Initially, I was concerned that the 20 watt bulbs might not be bright enough. Now, I prefer them. If I want a lot of light for cleaning daylight is best, but we have bright light above the sink, the eat in area and the stove. Plus, we added cabinet lighting. They look great! Installation worked well. We had only 2 issues: 1) One kit didn't include the small allen (sp?) wrench, but we had it in the other. 2) 2 of the light assemblies didn't work. We swapped out a bulb in one, so think it might be the assembly. Maybe we can get them to work, but since we only used 8 lights we didn't spend a lot of time trouble-shooting.

Overpriced, and quality is not the best, but better deal than available alternatives
I like cable lighting-style fixtures, and I wanted to install cable lighting in the newly remodeled bedroom. Unfortunately, today options for cable lighting are rather limited, and prices are high. This particular kit is OK, given current market. It includes basic necessary hardware for 5-light set, and the price is better than other available options. Quality is passable, not great, but it is acceptable, and better quality alternatives (like parts you can buy from tracklightingstore) are much more expensive. 10 years ago you can buy a lot better quality kits and parts for cable lighting for a lot less money, but today it is what it is. I'm buying two more of these kits to install at my house.

Read this if using LED lights + dimmers!!!!
Works great. Two key things.... #1 Ignorant people Most of the negative reviews I read were the result of user error. Follow the instructions and understand how it works and you will be surprised how easy it is to install, pull the cables very taught and how to change the bulbs. This set looks like a million bucks when installed properly. #2 NOTE ON LED BULBS!!!!! After lots of reading and testing, there is an issue using LED bulbs with this set if you plan on using a dimmer. Transformer needs at least a 50-60watt load for it to work properly for dimming. If you buy the Frequently Bought Together lights, there will be problems because they are 4 Watt bulbs. I bought two of these sets and put 10 lights on one cable/Transformer. This was still only 40watts so the lights would flicker, turn on and off, blink... Etx. After swapping a few LED lights for the stock halogens to raise the load, they worked like a charm. IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE LED LIGHTS AND WILL USE A DIMMER, YOUR LOAD MUST BE 50-60 WATTS PLUS FOR IT TO WORK RIGHT. I bought 8 Watt dimmable LED bulbs and I have 10 on one cable/Transformer.

Great design, but no replacement parts
I bought this light in 2017 and loved the look and functionality—sleek design, solid brightness, and adjustable heads that perfectly highlighted different areas. Unfortunately, several transformers failed over time, and the fixture is no longer fully usable. I tried to find replacement parts (transformers/light housings) without success. The seller directed me to the manufacturer, who confirmed the product is sold only as a kit and they don’t provide individual parts—meaning the only “solution” is to buy an entirely new kit. Given the reliability issues and lack of parts support, I wouldn’t purchase again or recommend.

Great Value, but they need load
I just put these up and the process was painless. I am very happy with them. Are the bulb fixtures a bit chintzy? Yeah, but 1 - no one will ever notice from even a few feet away, and 2 - to get high quality fixtures, you'd pay almost as much for one as you do for this entire set (literally, they're like $150 each). I'm super happy with the quality. The only tricky bit is going LED (because anyone using halogens today is crazy... I tried one 20w halogen and it was like 25% the brightness of a 5w LED I had in another socket). As others have stated, the problem is that the transformer needs a certain amount of draw... even with all 5 sockets filled with 5w LEDs (which are wicked bright btw), the lights flickered slightly. Replacing one LED with a 20w halogen fixed the flicker, so it seems like it wants at least 45 watts of draw (ish, I didn't test all combinations). However, my plan is to buy a few more of these sets and connect them together. If 5x 20w halogens on one transformer is fine, that means I can run 4 sets of these off one transformer, with 5x 5w LED bulbs in each. Which is actually kinda handy. And all of this is WAY less expensive than having a professional do it, or using the higher end cable lighting systems. Unless you really have money to throw away and really want the fancier looking fixtures, just get this (and actually, you can get one or two of the fancy fixtures that'll work on these cables just fine).

Fantastic, but at a price!
I had a wire track light in my kitchen that was ready to be replaced. I loved the look so much, I wanted to replace it with a similar wire track light. Surprisingly, this one was only a very few that I found, not only on here, but on a Google search. I didn't like the price. I think it was a bit overpriced but still purchased it. Result, I couldn't be happier how everything came out after remove/replace. It looks better than the original I had! It's given my kitchen a modern and elegant look. Now, much of this is due to the lamp bulbs that I got for it. Be ready, they are around $25-30 bucks each! Be sure that you follow the manufactures watts and volts for the bulbs! This is what brought my original lamp to an end. But like I mentioned before, I am very happy how everything came out and so will you! So, this wire track lamp is $220, and the five lamp bulbs came out to $130, total...$350! Yes, it is pricey, but folks, you will love the look of this lamp that has multiple applications! If you can stretch the cost, you will not be disappointed!

Sometimes the lights work
The lighting system is as described. The unfortunate part is that the lights are not all continually functional. Sometimes the lights work and sometimes they don’t.

They’re great … but…
For me these were easy to install and look super good. They were just what I was looking for! DOWNSIDE: the transformer is undersized. After a bit the lights will shut off and reboot on their own. I expect the only way to deal with this is 1) aftermarket transformer, 2) lower wattage bulbs or 3) use one less bulb Mine is in a bathroom do it typically does not run too long.

Easy to install and looks great
Was so easy to install the cables and the lights and it looks great. Will be replacing halogen with LED so wish that was an option instead of having these halogen bulbs left over and the extra cost.
