which cable modem is better c7000 or c7000v2

They're both the same modem. The only difference is the packaging.

We have comcast and use their telephone. Is there a jack so that we can continue or will we lose telephone connection

Wow ,my family had their service, the triple play excellent service but we (I) had to more closer to her family. Comcast gave us the modem with the dual phone jack. But comcast tv/movie were constantly being monthly recycled ( playing the same movies day after day. I changed the service to phone and internet. Comcast has to provide a modem if your buying their service. Yes you could go with a magic jack. But the reviews were either great or it provided static and dropped calls or service. For me,comcast had an office 5 minutes away from my house. Hope this helps you.
