These were perfect for our theater show, compact, and easy to use. Decent quality and a good value. I do not know about the lifespan, as we only use them for one show. They survived my students, so they are pretty sturdy and well-made.

I wanted it for a latern, although it does not fit in what I bought it for I was absolutely not returning it! It is so cute, give my space a nice glow without using a candle or my fire place. This would be a great gift for kids, and it holds a charge for a very long time. Could be used as a nightlight. Very cute.

I gotta say I wasn't expecting much from these lamps. Bought four of them for a camping trip (because campfires were just banned, sadly, due to fire season) mostly as a joke, but they work surprisingly well. One of them is a cool enough effect, but four of them out of sequence from one another creates a very satisfying little flame effect. If they turned out to be crap I was planning to return them, but I've actually decided they're worth keeping in the bin for future camping trips. Even with a real fire they'll be great to just leave out on the table, a free stump, you name it. Probably would be great to have around the house/yard at night as well. Last thing I'll say is that I turned one on (set to bright flame mode) and left it going to see how long the battery would last and after 24 hours of continuous use it was still going strong. (I had to start packing for my trip so I turned it off and put it back on the charger, so I don't know just how long they'll go for, but as far as I'm concerned 24 hours of continuous use is more than enough for my purposes.) I'm docking one star for the cheesy gold base, but for the price I get it. I would have happily paid more for a faux-concrete "fire pit" base but the gold is definitely not offensive so I'll allow it ;)

I actually bought these for my Granddaughters birthday party. They had set up a hike and a camping tent so these lights were the 'bonfire'. Now she uses the lights in her bedroom at night.

The light is small but the battery lasts a very long time and the multiple settings are fun.

I have bought it to put in my chimnea during the summer months!

Handy and effective light, perfect night light and easy to take around charged for use in another setting.

Great quality light. My son uses it at bedtime. It gives off a nice soft orange glow.

Good quality flame effect device. Bought two to place inside our wood burning stove with some logs - gives a nice flickering flame effect and looks cosy when we don’t want to actually light the stove.
