ESSENTIAL, not "ideal" for left handed writers
Zebra had better not discontinue this pen for my sanity. Seriously, this pen is a game changer if you are left handed: 1) it consistently works. A DAMN MIRACLE. 2) ink flow is generous and thick making the feeling of writing on the page smooth and pleasant 3) for all that rich inky production it dries quickly enough so my hands remain ink free 4) pen is a really reasonable price and it is refillable which is incredibly important 5) refills are reasonably priced 6) aesthetics are on point. I've tried loads of pens over the years and literally this is now the only pen I use for any writing. I have several in key locations and when they go missing I confuse people when I start panicking about there being no pens -- right handed people don't understand how hard it is to write with most of the pens laying around and how the stress of writing with them can give a left handed person flashbacks to so many times in our lives when our writing suffered as a result of struggling with pens that were never designed to work for us. I've had other pens in the past I've preferred but the Sarasa Grand absolutely has changed my life in being a reliable everyday tool in ways I am grateful for. If you are left handed or struggle to get normal pens working for you I highly recommend giving this pen a try. It also is genuinely a nice gift for a left handed person in your life and Zebra releases gift sets that are very nice on occassion usually with extra ink which I think is a nice touch. I have tried several version of the Sarasa as well as other Zebra pens and the refillable Sarasa Grand are unique in how they work -- while nice, the disposable Sarasa line in general does not have the same benefits as the Sarasa Grand and can be quite frustrating which is a shame since their vintage ink colors are very pretty. If you prefer thinner lines the Sarasa's output looks more like 1.0mm than 0.7 and you can easily overdo it due to how quickly it flows which is the only caution against this pen I would have if that is your preference or if you write very small this pen's bleed may be too much. The Sarasa also has a larger circumference barrel made of metal -- this can be beneficial for grip for some but for those preferring lighter/smaller pens this would be less leal. I personally find the weight of the pen to be very comforting and the size conforms nicely to my grip as a woman with smaller hands (though less inclined towards more delicate things). I've been buying the Sarasa Grand for .... 5?ish years now and have yet to have one break on me. They have all worked after being refilled just as well without fail. I never had such strong emotions about a pen but it has made an impact on my life. I would love to see the line expand -- more ink color options would give me joy especially if they had any metallic colors. It would also be really nice to have other ink output sizes available -- a 0.5mm would be nice due to the thickness of the 0.7 but I don't know if the pen would still work as well for left handed writers as frequently smaller output pens are the ones that cause the most issues. So yes, do try it. I am sure this will not be magic for every left handed person but 100% worth trying for the price.

Nice, solid brass pen for under 10$
i bought the pen because i was looking for a solid brass pen. the weight and feel is really nice because it is heavy and has a solid feel. the pen writes smoothly but the gel ink formula takes a little bit of time to dry or else it will smudge. i've read that you can replace the zebra gel ink with pentel's energel refills so i'll be trying that when the original ink runs out. overall 5/5 pen

NO SMEAR + fun clicker button
A little heavier than your average pen but that's not a bad thing. I've got some mild hand issues so wouldn't use it as my everyday pen coz I need something just a wee bit beefier (e.g., Pilot Dr. Grip). That said, I LOVE this Zebra pen! I got it specifically for check-signing; apparently gel ink improves safety. It writes smoothly, the black is super black, and bonus: it's designed perfectly for clipping onto the checkbook. ALSO you know how you see stuff online tagged as "oddly satisfying"? That's the clicker on this pen -- it's weirdly long, plus it has a bit of play to it and somehow that adds up to "more fun to click than your average pen." Fun fact .. the "clicker" is actually officially called a Thrust Device! (the things you learn ... )

Fastest drying/Best writing gel pens available
Best pens I’ve ever owned. I have every color and work as an RN and nutritional consultant. Always taking notes. Very durable and has a great weight to it. Ink flows wonderfully/dries instantly. This is the best part.. considering I’m a lefty, a lot of gel pens I smear. I have misplaced them at times.. and coworkers tell me it is the best pen they have ever used. 5/5 recommend especially for lefty’s.

Even Better than Expected!
I was tired of pens not always working. Intermittently going out while writing, etc. I also wanted something nicer for journalling etc. Not only are these pens just that. They write reliably and feel great in my hand. But they are also tough a nails! One of mine got ran over and it didn't get smashed! Seriously. There are little tiny dents all over it but it's not bent or smashed and amazingly it still works great! Wow, something really well made!

Smooth and Comfortable Zebra Pen - Excellent for Signing Documents
I recently purchased two Zebra pens, one for myself and one for my wife, and I must say, they have exceeded my expectations. Having used cheaper Zebra pens for many years, I was pleasantly surprised by the smoothness and quality of these pens. I specifically bought them for signing important documents, as I've read that their ink is difficult to alter, making them ideal for checks and security. One thing to note is that these pens are slightly on the heavy side, especially for women, in comparison to my beloved Parker pens. They are also a tad longer. However, the writing experience with the Zebra pen is exceptional. It glides effortlessly on paper, and there's no smudging whatsoever. When it comes to writing comfort, these pens truly shine. Overall, I'd rate them four out of five stars, mainly due to their weight and material quality. However, their design is attractive, and the writing quality is top-notch. If I had to make the choice again, I'd still opt for these Zebra pens. They are perfect for smooth, high-quality writing without any smudges, making them an excellent choice, especially for signing important documents.

Best in class (of $10 fancy-looking 0.7s)
Zebra Sarasa is the BEST pen in it's class (vs. Golden Pentel 0.7, Metal Barrel Sharpies 0.7s, and shiny Copper Barrel Sharpie 0.7). The other pens I listed look good on the outside and are much flasher than the Sarasa (I have the "gold"). However, all of them do that annoying ass ink-skipping thing when I try to write notes, in a notebook, sticky notes, copy paper, etc. The Zebra Sarasa has been amazing with it's grip, material, and ink flow. It is the best in class.

Beautiful
They come in the gift package each with its own individual gift case so you could give separately. These write like a sharpie S gel, nice and smooth. I like the weight and finish. The clip can feel in the way if you like to click the pen a lot as it sticks out. But these are great looking pens, nice weight, great ink. Worthy of a gift or all for yourself.

Great quality but impractical design
Top notch construction but your hatred for it will grow each time you use it. The clip design is as tall as the top cap which often gets in the way when you deploy or retract the pen. Pros: - Great quality - Feels weighty and comfortable in hand - Zebra Sarasa Ink has the darkest pigmentation yet - Smooth writing Critical Con: - The clip is as tall as the top cap which often gets in the way to deploy or retract the pen. Conclusion: Save your money and just get the standard plastic Zebra Sarasa.

Very good pen
Did I get a newer version of this pen? The click mechanism is higher and the clip is lowered so it does not obstruct when I click it. I have the blue and black, both are the same but the rose gold has the higher clip. All good pens.
