I am a busy puppy owner so I really needed a camera that would be easiest to set up and work 24/7. This camera is it for me. After purchasing my first one and testing it out for a week, I purchased a second so I can have it for when he starts to be allowed more space to roam and he matures. I can see and hear my puppy, see the above video. This is in night mode but it will automatically go to color mode (or manually if you want) during the day. Pros: Has a free, easy to understand app that doesn't crash Alerts can be toggled on to notify me from the app when the camera detects sound or movement Very portable and easy to move from room to room Automatic AND manual tracking of movement and sound Records video easily I shared the app with my boyfriend and he can use it, as well as me. Cons: Little light on the camera is annoying to human eyes. Puppy doesn't care. Can be a little loud when turning it's 360° head to view the dog. I have a very noise sensitive puppy and he hasn't woken up from it though. Tips: the instructions on how to set up are right there. Follow them and set up is easy. I wouldn't recommend doing it without the instructions. I highly recommend this camera.

The Hugolog camera works great and provides clear video quality. It was easy to set up and connects smoothly to the app. I feel much more secure using it, and it performs very well day and night. Highly recommend! 📷👍

I have purchased many different security cameras and models and I am really very impressed with this hugolog! All of the manual instructions are written well and are very easy to understand. I also downloaded the pdf version of the manual from the hugolog website for my camera, as I am getting a little older and it’s easy to read on my PC. The camera is very easy to set up and I love that hugolog was thoughtful enough to provide a generous long power cord. When I inserted the memory card and booted the camera, the app just popped up and prompted me for my recording preferences. I didn’t have to dig through layers of menus to do that! How convenient, intuitive, thoughtful and kind! The Hugolog Connect App is very easy to navigate and has some nice options that other cameras don’t have. For example, I included a screenshot of the App page that has an option near the bottom of the setup menu called “Add to Home Screen”, which adds a (very convenient) shortcut widget to my phone’s home page for this camera. The tracking is great and the video is extremely clear. It was fun watching the camera follow me and my wife around the house! My wife got a kick out of this. The night vision illumination is also fantastic. In the past, I have returned a few cameras of this style because they would drop the wifi signal or distort but the wifi range on this camera is absolutely awesome and there’s no external antenna. I have to admit, this is the first wifi camera that I don’t need to worry about having an ethernet connection for. My hugolog is staying here. It has found a home! The camera even comes with a separate set of well-written instructions to properly mount the base; I am very impressed. It is nice to purchase a product that exceeds expectations. I am grateful that hugolog went the extra mile to provide a great convenient easy to understand product. Thank You So Much hugolog!

My livestock guardian dogs all need TPLO surgery on both of their knees, over many, many months and recovery was slow. This camera came in handy to keep an eye on the dogs as they recovered in a kennel on my carport. This meant I didn’t need to physically go to the kennel to check on them. The image is good and tweaking the position of the camera using my phone is easy, but let the camera catch up with your movements. There is a delay. There is a red light that remains on when the camera is in use and the camera does produce some light in a darkened room. When I used this camera to keep an eye on my grandson at night when he visited the red light and other light was a distraction and might have been scary for him to see a red light in a dark room. I have not modified some of the functions like reducing ads, but so far it’s working for me as is. In fact I recently had hip replacement surgery and my husband was able to keep an eye on me using this camera. Overall this is a good camera with good picture quality and is easy to use, but for a monitor for young kids getting rid of the red light would be my suggestion.

The camera easily connected to my Wi-Fi network, and the companion app provided clear instructions, making the initial installation hassle-free. The image quality of the camera is excellent, with high-definition resolution that ensures I can see my baby clearly at all times. The night vision feature is particularly impressive, offering a crisp and clear view even in low light conditions. One of the standout features is the two-way audio function, which allows me to listen to and communicate with my baby from another room. This feature has been incredibly useful for calming my baby or giving gentle reassurances without needing to physically be in the nursery. Additionally, the app provides real-time alerts and notifications, which has been a great help in keeping track of my baby's activities and ensuring they are safe. Another advantage is the camera’s field of view. With its wide-angle lens, I can monitor most of the nursery from a single position, reducing the need for multiple cameras. The build quality of the camera feels sturdy and reliable, and its design is discreet, blending well with the nursery's decor. However, I have noticed a few areas for improvement. The app occasionally experiences connectivity issues, which can be frustrating. Additionally, while the camera itself performs well, I would appreciate more customization options for motion and sound detection alerts to better suit our specific needs. Overall, the R6 Hugolog Connect Indoor Camera has been a valuable addition to our baby’s nursery. It provides peace of mind with its high-quality video and audio features, making it easier to monitor and care for my baby. With a few minor tweaks, it could be even more effective, but it has certainly met our expectations and is worth recommending.

UPDATE: The seller reached out to me offering a refund for one camera. They went against Amazon rules and requested my phone number AND address to “request a digital refund”. Why on earth would they need that for a DIGITAL refund? I can only imagine the spam I’d be receiving for giving a bad review. DO NOT TRUST THEM! First of all, we purchased two of these cameras. One to keep an eye on our puppy while we’re at work and the second to monitor our living area. We’re very disappointed with them so far and are looking for replacements. The sound quality is horrible. We cannot hear a single word due to the audio being distorted and muffled on both cameras. If we check either camera in a silent environment with audio on they play a creepy clicking/crawling sound (similar to long nails or a hard shelled bug tapping and clicking). This completely freaks me out! The biggest issue we have is the fact that if someone has your wifi password they can easily download the app and install these cameras allowing them to view your cameras at any time from any place. After finding this out, we changed our Wi-Fi password and reset the cameras on my phone. I left my husband‘s phone with the old information and as soon as the cameras were connected on my phone, my husband‘s phone played the cameras as if nothing had changed. He did not have to retype in a password. Our cameras have been breached by our housekeeper. Now they are completely useless because we cannot remove them from her phone (we don’t have access) even though we’ve changed the passwords. We know this is true because we had her check on our home while we were out of town for a weekend. Our hallway curtain always triggers the camera to record when the air conditioner comes on. The entire weekend had been deleted from the Playback feed. It absolutely discusses me that someone could monitor me in my own home!
