An excellent camera, although I had an issue with the sensor.
I found the Sony A6700 to be an excellent camera. I am very satisfied with the results I’ve achieved, and I consider it a camera that is well worth the investment. However, I encountered an issue that was quite disappointing, especially considering the camera was brand new. Shortly after I started using it, I noticed several dark spots appearing in my photos, particularly when shooting at very narrow apertures. At first, I thought it might be a lens problem, but after running several checks, everything pointed to particles on the sensor itself. This is quite strange, given that the lens came pre-attached to the camera body and I never removed it after taking the camera out of the box. I used the camera's built-in cleaning function, a manual air blower, and a bit of carefully applied compressed air; after several cleaning attempts, I managed to remove most of the spots. Ultimately, only two tiny, microscopic specks remained—visible only with difficulty when using very narrow apertures like f/36—so they are practically invisible during normal use. I’m glad I was able to resolve the issue without having to return the camera, but I feel it’s important to mention this because a new camera should arrive in pristine condition. It was an unnecessary and rather worrying situation for a purchase at this price point. Aside from this issue, I am very satisfied with the camera. The image quality is excellent, and it has fully met my expectations. I hope my experience helps other buyers know what to check for when receiving a new camera. I would always recommend using the narrowest possible aperture in manual mode (f/29 - f/36 in this case) and pointing the camera at the sky during the day to look for this type of dust speck.
