Good Alternative to Alcohol
This is an interesting product. I think it could kick off a lot of different brands seeking to capture the market of people who want to be social but not get inebriated. The product arrived well packed and undamaged. I read the label and saw that the serving size was .87 of an ounce, so I measured it out and added it to a fruit flavored, zero calorie drink. I noticed a spicy background taste of the herbs in the product. A pleasant taste. I don't think I would drink it straight. The effect was mild but noticeable. I felt relaxed. I could see this as a way to unwind after a tough day at the office. I think it does what is says it does without alcohol, which is the whole point. I haven't tried the other flavors yet but may do so. The product is a good alternative to alcohol at social gatherings or alone to relax.

Felt nothing
I tried two different versions. Black and Red. I had no issues with the flavors although they were not something I could imagine developing a craving for. Mix ‘em with some ginger beer or whatever you like and they are not vile nor exciting. Feel/effects? This is where the product disappoints. I was unable to detect *any* change at all. So it was. $40 bottle of slightly odd tasting fruit juice. Add the fact that the black version seemed to have some odd looking sludge/residue that stuck to the bottle inside and wasn’t visible right away until I poured enough of it out. It didn’t seem to be a contaminant just some dried juice? lol Everyone’s chemistry is different but this was not for me. I have tried other products that make similar claims and enjoyed them. Maybe when the magic molecule is approved I’ll give it another whirl. Great concept, just no delivery for me. The order sat in the Amazon queue for about 2 months before it shipped.

Unique flavor, great social drink alternative
Wow! I am extremely shocked at how much I enjoy this. I put approximately 2 shots of this in with some Seagrams zero sugar ginger ale. I poured it over fake ice ( I hate watered down beverages.) It’s relaxing and refreshing. There’s not a huge “buzz”, if you’re expecting that you’ll be disappointed. But if you want something relaxing, this is great. I tasted it by itself, and it wasn’t terrible, but it’s not something that I would want to drink alone, I don’t think. The flavor is good enough I think I would like it with just soda water. It’s got a little bit of a bite to it, especially with the ginger ale, which is nice. Love this, I got the bitter berry, and I’m looking forward to trying the others. Even if I’m not crazy about the others, I really, really like this. It also doesn’t make me tired. It’s just a nice relaxing chill. I didn’t know if I should believe the other reviews, but I am really liking this. It does have a very different flavor, not really like anything else I’ve tasted, but it’s great.

No discernible effect - but the taste is fine
Sentia GABA drinks are marketed as giving you that “two drink” feeling without any alcohol (or the unpleasant side effects thereof). I did not expect it to perfectly imitate the sensation of having a glass of wine or two, but I did expect *some* sensation - and there was none. While GABA red doesn’t taste particularly bad (tart cherry mixed with potpourri would be my description) it has no discernible physical or mental sensation. In short, this is just an expensive, wonky-tasting herbal tea.

I’ve tried them both
Figured I’d post this for both Red and Black so readers can decide for themselves. First off, if you’re looking for an alternative to alcohol’s mood elevation and relaxation effects, you will not recreate that high with anything other than alcohol (or harder drugs). If you want something that spices up a drink, gives your tastebuds a jolt and most importantly; no hangover, then this might be for you. I’ll list the traits in groups: Mood effects: Red is clearly the winner here providing a very mild sedative effect. It’s not a Valium or anything like that, but just a mild relaxation feeling. Black doesn’t seem to do anything (for me) as I was hoping it was going to provide an energy boost and focus effect that the website says. Taste: Black wins by a wide margin. It’s actually very tasty and combines with pretty much any mixer or can be drank on the rocks. Red tastes heavily medicinal (some have even said soap like). It definitely needs a mixer if you want to enjoy it. Overall, this is a great idea. You get to hold a drink that looks and feels like a cocktail without any negative effects. Your tastebuds get a little kick with each sip that tells your brain that this isn’t just soda, water or coffee. If you’re someone who comes home and has a couple drinks after work and doesn’t like what it does to your waistline or your brain then these can definitely take the place.

It does what it says it does to a minimum. Depending on tolerance
It's hard to write a review for this. I'll start off by I'm a recovering alcoholic six months sober. It does relax you it is kind of sweet but it's also pungent an very bitter I mixed it with cranberry mango juice It does do what it says it does. I would say if you're on the edge of relapse drink this before you go out and drink but I can see it being a social drink it's just not a social drink for me.

Surprisingly good
I wasn’t really sure what to expect, even after reading the reviews. But, wow. Sips of this delightful drink (out of curiosity for what does it taste like) were very good. It was surprisingly good, with a bit of a complex flavor profile. The mouth feel was decadent. I’m not sure I can speak to what it feels like to be tipsy from alcohol, but with this drink (we made simple cocktails with it after the initial tasting), there was just a warm, happy feeling. Would I buy this again? Yes. Would I order this if I saw it in a drink menu at a restaurant? I would absolutely order one. What is this drink like? It is worth the curiosity purchase. I’d love to hear what anyone else experiences with this drink.

Game changer
I love this so much! I tried the GABA Red and just placed an order to try GABA Gold. I want to try them all! Ok, so the first sip I took was warm and neat. I did not like the initial taste. I found it very herbal. But as the taste evolved, I found I was interested in trying some more. I wasn’t sure what kind of mixer to use, but I have a lot of tonic water on hand, so I tried that, over ice. It’s my new favorite! It’s not sweet, at all. So lemonade would be the best mixer if you want it sweeter, imo. I’m not a big drinker, but I was noticing that the frequency of my “one glass of wine” every so often, was shifting to almost every night. I didn’t want that. I am delighted to say I find this beverage is easily replacing my one glass of wine! No, there is no buzz. You won’t feel it in your body. But what it does is subtly shift my energy into a more relaxed state where I don’t even think about wanting to pour myself a glass of wine. It’s like I just forget. So, I’m happy with that. And like I said, I want to try all of these. What is absolutely sad about it, is the price. It really stings. The bottle did not last that long, even with a reasonably meager pour. Hopefully the cost can come down, without compromising the product. It’s really excellent.

Money waste
Marketing trick. No effect at all. Money waste

Disappointing
I'll start by saying we are all different so my experience with this drink might not be yours. Taste - hard to explain as I've not tasted anything like it before, sort of medicinal, botanical, quite rich, I mixed it with lemonade, I quite liked the taste, had a depth to it. Mimic alcohol - I felt no affects at all with it, it definately didn't mimic the effects of alcohol, not at all, did it relax me? The first time I tried it I thought it did but I think I wanted it to relax me, subsequent times it had no effect at all on me, no warm fuzzy alcohol feeling, didn't effect my mood or my brain. Overall - I wouldn't have it again, if it was a lot cheaper and I mean a lot cheaper, I would buy it as I quite liked the taste but for what it promises - to mimic the effects of alcohol - I would not buy this again.

Delicious and potent
It's taken me a while to really appreciate this drink. On my 3rd bottle over several months and at first I was probably comparing it to alcohol and looking for the red wine effect. This is so much more refined and being alcohol free there are none of the many horrible negative effects. Very tasty with fever free tonic water. Gives a lovely mellow buzz and is satisfying with one or max 2 drinks. Expensive but as it's not too more'ish lasts for about 10 or 12 drinks. If I was to try and describe via comparison it's like switching from Cadbury's Chocolate to raw cacao organic truffles. Delicious and definitely a powerful mood altering drink. I am a fan. ❤️

Interesting
I guess the key question is "does it do anything?", and the answer is, yes. To me it has a mild, relaxing effect. I wouldn't describe it as a two drink effect; to me, two drinks implies a couple of pints or glasses of wine, and it doesn't go to that level, and I'm not sure I'd want it to. What David Nutt and Co have done is clever, in using ingredients containing naturally occurring molecules with a GABAergic effect which are already approved for use in food; it doesn't answer the question on longer term effects or interactions, though, which obviously the company is aware of. As for the taste, well, it's not totally to my taste! There are earthy, rather phenolic notes which reminds me of something with an unpleasant flavour with other flavours added to mask it! But it's quite nice with tonic, and I'm currently drinking 25ml Sentia with 75ml tonic and a slice of orange! So genuinely interesting with a few caveats on flavour... And price!
