Bought the Brother Genuine TN830XL Black High Yield toner and I use it regularly for my home office printer. Perfect for home offices or small businesses, but look at alternatives if you want a budget-friendly option.

Not the most exciting purchase, but definitely one of the most necessary. I bought this toner for my home office printer, and it works exactly as expected—crisp, clean prints with no smudging, no streaking, and no mysterious error messages. Installation was super simple—just popped it in and the printer recognized it right away. No weird compatibility issues, no shaking the cartridge like a maraca to get the last bit of ink. Just smooth, professional-looking documents from page one to the last. The page yield is solid, and I've already printed hundreds of pages (reports, shipping labels, kid’s homework, the usual chaos) and the toner level still looks good. Definitely a great value for the price. If you’re looking for toner that works reliably without turning printing into a tech support nightmare, this is the one.

2nd one I purchased. While I dont count the number of pages, I know I get the maximum out of the toner. It’s for my at home printer where I printed probably 20 pages per week on average. No issues and it takes me about a year to use up because I re-order when it gets almost to the bottom vs waiting to run out.

This is quite more expensive than the generic type, but it’s definitely more reliable. The print quality is definitely better than the generic and also I don’t have to worry about leakage like the generic ones which lately I have found to be problematic, and then it ruins your drum so it was “Penny-wise and pound foolish” to buy the generic ones. I had to replace my last printer which I had been using generic toner with. The drum got ruined, and even after replacing it didn’t help. It prints quite a few copies. My printer said that I am out of toner, but I reset the toner count twice already and it’s still going strong, with nice black print.

Cartridge works well. Crisp clean copies and printed pages. BUT I am not printing high coverage pages. Mostly music which has a LOT of open spaces on the page. Barely got over 600 pages. If I had been printing high density text documents I probably wouldn't feel like I've been lied to. The only way you can get 300 pages is if there isn't but half dozen lines per page.

I am terrible with doing setups on this kind of stuff. I read the reviews and hunkered down ready to be frustrated in setting this thing up on my home, very limited, network. Setup was a breeze with a quick start guide that was very easy to follow. Getting on the Verizon WiFi in my house went flawlessly and very quickly. The entire process from opening the box to my first print job was 51 minutes. The only thing I hate about all these manufacturers is the incessant marketing on the internet as you are setting your equipment up. Brother put a large sticker on the front of the unit that SHOULD come off with no gooey residue left behind but not this one. I’ll have to take a while to get the sticker off and the area cleaned. Probably longer than the setup.

It works better than the cheaper refills.
