Twisted Wood Splitting Wedge – Log Splitter – 2000g

I bought this as I had to take down a tree and wanted to split the logs. A sledgehammer and the log splitter and I was on a winner. The log splitter has saved me a lot of time. Just a little comment. The Log splitter is not intended for professional use. The price mirrors this. The metal is however strong enough for private use. Very good made and through a slight twist in shape, it works much better than some of the log splitters I've used in the past. I'm delighted I bought this product.

Super tool, very good results tho a bit pricy

Reassuringly hefty. In three blows of a sledge-hammer it dealt with knotty hard wood that had defeated a splitting axe.

Brilliant bit of kit, my logs were at least a foot across and it went through them with no problems.

Meine ersten Spaltkeile und gleich recht gute. Ich habe mir gleich zwei davon bestellt und das war auch kein Fehler, denn man kommt hin und wieder in die Situation, dass ein Keil in einem Stamm versenkt ist und man nicht mehr drauf schlagen kann. Dann braucht man einen zweiten, um den Spalt im Holz zu erweitern. Ansonsten ist die Drehung im Keil eine gute Sache. Sie hilft in der Tat, damit das Holz auseinander gedrückt wird. Dadurch, dass aber immer wenig Auflagefläche im Stamm mit den Keilen in Kontakt kommt, kann man sie leichter einschlagen als normale Keile (das ist jedenfalls meine Theorie). Fazit: Nicht ganz billig, aber sein Geld auf jeden Fall wert, wenn man mit der Spaltaxt nicht mehr weiter kommt. Einen passenden Vorschlaghammer sollte man natürlich auch im Arsenal haben. ;-)

Geht super und hält echt viel aus. Man sollte aber 2 Stück besitzen das man den "einen" mal befreien kann. Hatte sehr unwilliges Nussholz, da war der Zweite oft im Einsatz.
