Good Stuff for digesting food properly, effective, simple ingredients aka pineapple. Have use Bromelain for years, especially after a big meal and before bed. Just be warned the stuff they use to seal the jar is like super glue... took a while to get the darn thing open... Nutricost should think about fixing this opening jar problem.

I am a bromelain connoisseur, if you will :-) I have used this enzyme for decades as a topical exfoliator (former esthetician here), digestive aid and anti-inflammatory. And so, I know what bromelain labeled at this strength is supposed to do. I loved how easily this powder dissolved in water, the neutral and slightly sweet taste, and the fact that it has no nasty additives. What I can tell you is that it is NOT as strong as the label indicates. Bromelain at this GDU has a powerful exfoliating effect on the skin, and it also has anti-inflammtory effects I can feel within 20 minutes when taken on an empty stomach. This bromelain is much weaker than the label says, and produces only a super gentle exfoliating effect when used topically. When I take it internally, I feel almost no result. I recommend this product for topical use, especially if your skin is sensitive and other mechanical or chemical exfoliants cause you irritation or redness. If you need a stronger bromelain to help with internal inflammation or digestion of proteins, I recommend choosing another product. Source Naturals makes a really strong bromelain, which is unfortunately in tablet form (I prefer powders), so I'd try that if you want more power.
