Stable
As expected from Silva, this compass is well made and points very well. The needle is large and stable making it easy to take a bearing. Despite being labelled for beginners and kids, it’s suitable for any hiking that can be done in the UK and its light weight and small size makes it a great backup (assuming you use a phone for most navigation).

The batteries wont run out!
I thought theses things were supposed to point in the direction you want to go. But, this only points directly to north??? Guess I'll have to work something out with a map or something. It's certainly small and light weight. Works well in the field. Not as helpful for Nav. as the Expedition 4 for route planning. A basic compass for those who already know how to use one. If you don't buy one you can "Get Lost!" haha

No magnifying glass
There is no magnifying glass to make reading the map easier on this compass. Would advise to get one with a magnifying on the compass.

This. Is a gift for my God son 25 years old and he needs a compass to help him navigate without a mobile. Always was the best and I hope his gives as many years of service as my silva

Très bon rapport qualité/prix . Simple et efficace pour les petites balades . J'apprécie particulièrement le cordon " tour de coup " dont la fermeture s'ouvre en cas d'accrochage dans une branche ou autre et qui permet de ne pas finir pendu !

Denna kompass är defekt. Säljarens returpolicy är att kunden betalar frakten. För att få en felfri vara, måste man som kund först betala returfrakten, sedan sker en återbetalning (du får inte en ny vara skickad till dig). Efter detta kan du göra en ny beställning och betala en ny fraktavgift. Frakten i detta fallet skulle i princip vara lika med vad kompassen kostar. Detta tycker jag är riktigt dåligt mot kunden! Hoppas Amazon, som annars har en mycket bra returpolicy, tittar över detta förfaringssätt. Jag ska i alla fall inte handla av den här säljaren fler gånger.
