A boardgame you'll actually play
This is a great game I highly recommend to keep on your gaming shelf. Its easy to learn, fun for all ages, and has a good bit of strategy. Great collector item for board game enthusiasts or persons getting into more complex board games.

Great game but pieces don’t exactly match
Catan is great but the game pieces are different colors / designs from the original game.

The Good News & The Bad News
First the bad news - this is a superseded version of the 5-6 player extension. The newer version is the identical looking product listed on Amazon at 2x the price of this item. Now the good news - the two versions are identical apart from (1) a different rule sheet; and (2) two small card pieces numbered "1" and "2" which regulate the additional "special building" phase......which has different rules between the old and new versions. Confused? Don't be - you can always write "1" and "2" on two post-it notes, download the newer rulesheet from Catan.com........and you can play either the old way or the new way with either version :-) Or you can pay double for two cardboard tokens.....hmmm.

not only can i lose to my family in regular catan, I CAN NOW LOSE TO MY EXTENDED FAMILY AT THE SAME TIME. Well worth the price for the day I finally win...........

Peças não encaixam
As peças não encaixam com o outro catan em portugues e os itens de estrada, cidade são diferentes, nao tem detalhes e deixam o jogo mais feio visualmente.

Extensión compatible si tienes el juego base en inglés con piezas de madera
Magnífico. Ya contaba con el juego base de Catan en su versión en inglés con sus piezas de madera. Al paso de ir jugando con mi familia el juego base; descubrimos que la extensión valía la pena, por que es un juego único, adictivo y totalmente familiar. Con la extensión la tensión adictiva de querer ganar crece. La mayoría de la gente tiene un Catan en su versión en español y sus piezas de plástico (marca DEVIR) y quiere comprar su respectiva expansión a más jugadores. Generalmente por desconocimiento al juego hacen mala compra cuando poseen un Catan juego base en español y le compran la extensión en ingles pensando que serán compatibles pero nunca serán compatibles. Así que, si tú posees el juego base de Catan en inglés con piezas de madera; está extensión es para ti. Me llegó original, sellado, material completo y en excelente estado. Demasiado satisfecho con mi compra. Lo recomiendo. (Anexo fotos para que vean la compatibilidad de las versiones)

Checar la versión del juego antes de comprar!
No es compatible con el juego base de Devir en español, las piezas de éste son de madera, en el de Devir de plástico, y los marcos no encajan. Aún así de puede usar.
