Bath Bomb Mold Set 1

This bath bomb molds set works great as long as you have all of the specified instructions. It comes with 3 different sizes for a total of 5 molds, 12 food coloring bottles and shrink wrap bags. The instructions were very easy to read and follow. I did not have grape seed oil l but I did use a combo of coconut and olive oil and they both worked well. This does take quite some time to do so plan accordingly. My kid and I did this together and once we were done we tried them out and they worked great. When using a hair dryer to shrink wrap the bomb, have patience it took me more than 5 minutes and it still wasn't completely closed. All in all, everything was easy clean up and the bombs look great.

The molds were great. I used them to make shower bombs and had no problem removing the shower bombs from the molds. The tubes of color tint were okay. I used the purple and the yellow tubes. Both required quite a bit of the product to reach the desired color and there were bits of the product that never mixed in so they showed up as color specks which wasn’t terrible. The shrink wrap worked reasonably well, not great. There were pieces on each shower bomb that wouldn’t shrink and adhere. I was able to tape it down and since I put them into plastic gift bags it wasn’t a problem but if I was selling them I would of been very disappointed in the quality of the shrink wrap as well as the color tints.

I bought this kit with the expectation that I could use it to ransom the planet. After my initial disappointment I gave the kit to my squiggles, who enjoys the bomb-making process and usage in the water-retaining leisure vessel. She gives it two tentacles erect! END TRANSMISSION!

The molds and colors are easy and fun to use. The down side is that the color dyes are suposed to be scented. We made dozens of bath bombs and I could only smell 2 of the scents. Also, be aware that if it says "12 molds" on the description, that means 12 pieces = 6 molds. That slows down a group project.

My order and the rest of my supplies came from Amazon today and honestly, I just could not wait to try and make a bath bomb. I found a recipe that called for coconut oil, citric acid, corn starch, baking soda, soap dye and essential oil that had great results in the reviews. Fingers crossed I mixed up the ingredients added the dye and pressed the ingredients into the forms. Imagine my excitement that every one turned out beautifully. I realize the mix has a lot to do with the success, but the forms are pretty sturdy and release well or with just a couple light flicks of the finger or something light weight. I added several drops of each of the colors (I did purple for the lavender half and yellow for the lemon half). I think to get a brighter more vibrant color you would have to add a significant amount of dye. To me the bright colored bombs just seem so artificial looking and cheap. I like a more natural look. The lighter tone I got out of the amount I added to me is far more appealing to my own eye. I have yet to use the shrink wrap that's included. I'll try that after they've set for 24 hours. I think the price on this set is very affordable. For my first time out and being a novice at making these bath bombs it was a success and I would highly recommend this!

If buying for moulds then don’t. So had to remove bath bomb breaks every time. However lots of colours and these work bc well.

The black is just dark green, which didn't exactly work for my pokeball bath bombs I was trying to create. They also stuck to the metal, but this may have been because of the recipe I used. Will be trying a different recipe next time.
