The Santa Suit

I admit it, I am a Christmas Movie Junkie! Yes, even all the schmaltzy Hallmark Christmas movies. I have been known to sit through a lot of them, and even enjoyed many of them too. But some of them? You just have to turn the channel or turn the TV off...what a waste of time they are. Not this movie. It stands out among them all, and it is mostly because of Keven Sorbo's fine acting. When I first saw this movie last season (2012) I wasn't even sure who he was, and I thought great, another mediocre Christmas movie :-) But, in no time at all I was hooked. He is \really one amazing actor, and was perfect for this role. The depth of character he portrayed, is such a subtle manner, is pretty amazing--to me he rivals all of the big actors you see out there--why isn't he in a lot more movies? I would stand in line to watch him now! That aside, The Santa Suit really is a touching, sweet movie, that makes one pause to really consider our relationships, and how we treat others. I know that is the oft-repeated message of the Christmas season, but this movie teaches that lesson, and makes it fun along the way. The other actors are good too, especially his assistant at work, played by Rosemary Dunsmore. Predictable? Of course, but in a wonderfully warm way that makes you want to go along for the ride. I made my husband, who does NOT watch Christmas movies watch this movie, and he also enjoyed it. If you knew my bah humbug husband, that is a pretty big testimony to how good this movie is :-) Highly recommend The Santa Suit to all members of the family. A good movie, with a great actor leading the cast.

To me this is the BEST of the Christmas Seasonal movies out to date. It combines all the themes of most of the great ones but it has something extra special that I can't put my finger on But my heart saw it immediately.... I watched it three times in 24 hours and will be watching it several times more during this holiday season! The Santa in this one looks Real and that means a lot to some of us. The story is timeless and Sebastian the Elf is the funniest addition and most delightful twist on the Christmas movies I can recall at this moment - he is something - the characters are marvelously real and believable. The story grows around itself and the resolution is most satisfying and unexpected in it's already foregone conclusion. Yes, I will be watching The Santa Suit from now on. I am so glad this has finally been released for home use. It has been one of my favorite Hallmark Christmas movies. It has a great story line with a grouchy, non-Christmas Spirit type of toy manufacturer CEO. Kevin Sorbo always does a great job in any role he plays & he is very convincing playing a man that everyone else sees as Santa. The real Santa thinks he need to change his attitude. Cute story, played frequently at my house. Get it & enjoy it....Maybe it will become one of your favorites also. Merry Christmas.

"The Santa Suit", starring Kevin Sorbo ... has quickly become a classic, in Christmas movies ! Love this movie. Not fast-moving, not complicated .... just a really nice story with a great message. The Santa Claus in this movie is extremely realistic and believable ! He looks and acts the part .... his speaking voice is a joy to listen to. The change in Kevin Sorbo's character -- from the beginning, and what he's like by the end of the movie is worthy of watching. Excellent family story. Five stars plus !!!

This is one of those fantasy movies that, to be honest with you, I went into expecting very little- Boy, was I surprised!! The Santa Suit is one of those feel good flicks that you keep thinking about long after it is over- It is a redemptive film that shows how a man's life can be changed with a little outside interference- It has a great moral fiber that runs through it and I recommend it for the entire family- Kevin Sorbo does a great job as both Santa and a greedy, worldly businessman- I won't give any thing else away on the content, but I can't stress the values of watching this offering!

bought it because of keven sorbo i'm a fan. but it was not the best of the christmas movies ive seen 20 words is sometimes hard to come up with

A good movie that did not get the attention it deserved i enjoyed it as is a story about a man who put profits over good products and found the true meaning of Christmas Where it is different is that part of his enlightenment he appears to everyone as Santa and not the rich man he was He learns what it like to have nothing and what his actions have on his employees

The story in this movie is the typical Scrooge type who comes to know something better than himself. I have liked Kevin Sorbo since his Hercules days. He does a good job of playing the miser in this movie and is convincing in the role of becoming a good guy (which he is in real life). The little girl in this movie is adorable and does her part well. This is definitely one for the entire family and the Christmas move collection!
