great for stripping paint
I originally purchased a more expensive heat gun for about 100$, but it quit working after a couple of weeks. (I will try returning it under warranty) I didn't have time to wait for it to be repaired or replaced and did not want to drop another $100 dollars for a replacement. So I went to the local hardware store and found this unit for about 20$. It does not have the bells and whistles of the more expensive gun, but the bottom line is it quickly heats up and worked just as well at removing paint. In fact, my wife preferred this one because it was lighter and easier hold for her than the pricier gun. I don't know about the long term reliability of this unit, because my project was almost over when I purchased it, but it worked when I needed it. For the price you can't beat it.

Gets hot, shrinks stuff. Only 4 star because it could get hotter and shrink stuff faster.

Worked great until it quit
Worked great until it quit. Lasted only 6 months and the fan quit. Good price but poorly built. Can't seems to get any warranty support for it
