Boom 4 Portable Bluetooth Speaker, Waterproof - Blue

Ive used UE Boom products for years now and they’ve never disappointed. Every other speaker brand gets blown out, or isn’t water proof, this is the speaker for the whole family. I love taking a shower with the speaker, it makes it feel like I’m at a concert how loud it is. It’s just as loud as the Mega Boom, I have a very old version of this one, and when I bought this Boom 4, it was a seamless transition. I love how I can bring it in and out the shower to change songs and get it wet without worrying about ruining it. I’ve ruined so many phones and laptops like this over the years until I was fortunate enough to buy this speaker. It is on the pricey side, but it’s so worth it. These speakers are really loud, and I listen to music with tons of base in it, I was afraid the speaker would blow out. My sister got this model I wanna say about 5 years ago and after a month, the speaker started to sound corse like there was sand in it. I was afraid this would happen to this one, but they’ve made significant upgrades. I feel like this speaker is as loud as the old model or the Mega Boom I had if not louder. It’s a lot smaller than the Mega Boom which is nice, I thought it wouldn’t be as loud I’m very pleased. It has a portable design, it’ll fit in your cup holder, if you have big enough pockets it’ll even fit in there. I love this speaker. I bet the smaller version is even just as loud too. You can add a feature where it automatically plays your playlist if you hold down the center button without touching your phone. It only works for SoundCloud and Apple Music at the moment which is a little lame because Spotify for the win, but still cool, I bet they’re working on getting it anyway. If you’re looking for a waterproof durable speaker get this one. I believe the Mega Boom I mentioned is about 10 years old and still works like a charm. The only reason I bought a new one is so I wouldn’t had to share anymore. The color I got is adorable, the speaker is cuter in person. It connects to my phone in a matter of seconds, if you have an Apple device (I don’t know about any other devices) it makes it super easy to turn on and off your Bluetooth with this new update. Eveything is so easy. The play time lasts forever. I primarily use it in the shower, and if I don’t use it as loud, I won’t have to charge it for weeks. If I’m using it in my room for low ambience music or some white noise for my baby sleeping, it’ll last a long time as well. It does not die fast when you listen to loud music, but it speeds up the process. This will turn a week of charge into a couple of days. Either way I love the speaker, it’s amazing. Forgot to mention the new speakers don’t use the terrible android charger anymore that constantly broke inside the speaker. They switched to the type-C charger which makes things so much easier. I can use the charger for my phone, the speaker, and my baby’s sound machine. They’re all in one area, and the type C charges so fast. Just very very convenient. This is the speaker. It’s definitely worth the money and will literally last you decades. The video I attached shows how good it sounds just through my phones speakers, the video keeps glitching because I’m holding my baby lol. UE BOOM ROCKS.

If I'm being totally honest this product to me is therapy on the go. Im diagnosed with a plethora of mental health issues. Music is the best medicine for me. I was skeptical to buy this little bugger, but once I opened the box and hooked it io to my Bluetooth.....imediate zen. I didn't even ha e to read the instructions. I was having a panic attack and in less than a minute this mobile speaker made me feel like I was at a live show just being ok being me. The quality of the sound blew me away. The battery life is wicked loooooong. It was a huge impact tool to bring my anxiety from an 8 down to a 2 after listening to one song through its ease of use. Whoever was involved in development of this lil'speaker. Thank you. I wish everyone had such a powerful sound machine. Its part of my lexicon now like "have tou ever looked into a Wonderboom?" It will calm you the F down in minutes. Trust me, this is a good buy. I just wish I got the blue one because it looks cooler.

My second UE Boom. My first I purchased almost 10 years ago and it is still kicking. I like that I can link these together to play surround. They made some key improvements, my favorite being the location of the charger. No longer on the bottom through a tunnel, now on the side at the base, making it very easy to charge. Excellent sound quality, long battery life. Highly recommend.

Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. It arrived as expected, was easy to use, and has worked well so far. The quality seems good for the price, and it does what I needed it to do. My only minor complaint is that there’s a small detail that could be improved, but it’s not a major issue and doesn’t take away from the overall experience. I’d definitely consider purchasing again and would recommend it to others.

I give it 1 star because it cut on and audio played through it. TLDR: I’d rather defecate in my hands and clap than listen to another song through this speaker. Get the cheaper Wonderboom 4 instead. With that though. I had the original UE Boom for YEARS. Great sound quality, battery life, reliable, nice. I bought this with the expectation that it would be even better than my last one, especially for the price tag that came with it. Connected easily, flashy app came with it, started playing music through it, and had less life in the music than Dolly Parton currently, rest her soul. Thankfully we got the wonderboom as well. So much cheaper, smaller, lighter, and sounds 10 times better. Don’t waste your time with this one when you can save money for a better product.

Enjoy using this speaker with my tablet. It allows me to walk away, even into another room, without carrying the tablet or even the phone and still listen. Just turn up the volume and you're hands free. If I go a greater distance into the kitchen I'll carry the speaker there. It will start fading in and out when I've gotten too far from the tablet or phone and I just reposition it. It's nice to hear music in the car because the quality is better than the phone when I connect the speaker to it. Very convenient and very portable.....gives a greater listening distance to what it's connected to and the audio is an improvement from the devices' speaker with nicer tones. Really like the convenience of it. Used it during the holidays. Connected it to my phone and played dinner music....guests enjoyed it and were curious how it worked. It uses a simple Bluetooth connection to pair. There is an UE Boom App that can be downloaded that will help with pairing also, if needed. I enjoy that I can move around or drive and don't need to have something in my ears to listen and it's light enough to move and sit on a table or the seat of the car. I haven't tested how water proof it is but I did spill some water on it and just wiped it off with no problems. Durable speaker and the sound is deeper and richer for something so portable. Hope you enjoy the speaker if you decide on one.

Great sound

As a speaker, the Boom 4 is great, nice clear, well balanced sound with decent bass. Obviously for something this size the bass is not particularly powerful but it is still adequate. I particularly like the design, the outer surface has a nice almost clothlike texture and the big bold volume buttons are fun and functional. The app adds some nice extra features like EQ and a very convenient ability to remotely turn the Boom 4 on or off. The remote power option is really nice but it doesn't always work as smoothly as I would like. I often have to try to connect with the Boom 4 in my phone settings before trying to power it on remotely but it does eventually work. Battery life is solid too, standby mode barely drains it at all. Other than that, the Boom 4 is a very enjoyable speaker with a lot of power for its size and nice, clear sound quality.

Great sound so far. Not super deep bass BUT these are WAY clearer than the UE Boom 2 that I upgraded from. 8 months later, I use this every day for listening to rap is I LOVE it. Zero issues. At half volume the or 60 percent volume, the battery last forever. At max the time goes down, but it gets very loud, and since its so portable, I bring it around with me and it’s always close. You hear it well everywhere in the room, and its cool how you can turn it on via the app.

I have used a JBL Flip 5 for a few years and am still happy with it. I wanted another bluetooth speaker to use in my workshop. The sound samples from Flip 6 were good in the bass but sounded too hot in the treble for me. The Wonderboom 4 also sounds like the high end has too much sizzle for my taste. The Flip 7 sounds a lot better but is $50 more expensive than the current Boom 4 at $139 CAD. Note: The Boom 4 price has moved back up to $199. Flip 7 might be the better deal at this price point. Boom 4 seems to really shine in the clear and dynamic presentation of a natural midrange. The Boom 4 low end rolls off a bit more than the Flip 5 but retains a punchy presence. The Boom 4 really outshines the Flip 5 in its clarity and dynamics. This little speaker seems very well suited for my listening tastes of classical, jazz and other laid back styles. The UE app has battery indicator, a nice remote power on feature and a simplified EQ adjustment. It can also control playlists from Apple and apparently some others. This speaker will please people with similar tastes but probably not satisfy younger beach party listeners whose contemporary playlists appreciate the boosted bass and treble frequencies of other designs.

Love this product so much I bought a second for my son. What’s great is that when he’s not using it I can sync the two together and have a pretty darn good stereo system.

Love it, 5 for sound, 5 for app with easy use easy party up. 3 or 4 for party up range. It's not as wide as Bluetooth between this device and your phone, it's much smaller range between party up speakers. Bose is better range between linked speakers but Bose "party up" is a pain in the neck to get going every time. That's the trade off for me who purchased for party up.
