Byski water block for AMD RX 6900xt Reference
Great performance for the price. Construction is solid, machining looks good. LED strip is a little cheap but it looks alright still and better than what wasn't there before. The only other blocks available were weeks or more out or can't be found anymore so this block gets the job done. Seller was the fastest I've ever seen with Amazon, less than 24 hours after purchase it was delivered. The block install is where there is a 1 star knock. No instructions came with so that was annoying. There really isn't many videos on utube about these blocks but the few that were helped a bit. The thermal paste and pads they come with have no ratings listed, but I'm sure it's cheap. Buy an assorted amount of thermal pads for better thermals, and assorted sizes. I picked up some 1mm 13k/wh but it was too short. The block shipped with a baggy of 6, 3 inch strips that seemed 1mm, but I think are 1.5mm. I dry fitted for a while playing with it. There are two chips that are in a small array towards the card bracket that don't get hit by the copper block, but as far as I can tell everything else that needs it gets contact. I ended up just using the supplied strips and had enough for both sides of the card. If I bought different sizes I would have probably used those. I used some grizzly kryonaught for the gpu. Before with the reference blower, my Temps were idle in the 60c range and ive hit 110c in games full load. Now it won't break 55c under full load. Idles in the 30s up 40c. I'm very happy with that. I paired this with the full Corsair Hydro X series custom loop. Managed to get everything into a 4000d case...lol. 360mm up front and a 240mm up top. Loop order pump-cpu-rad-gpu-rad-pump. Mostly for space and the flow just feels right. Both rads set to intake, pump and fan settings in icue to extreme.Ultimately this block is a good buy. It lacks in instruction but if you are cracking open a 1000$ gpu, then you should know a thing or two before attempting. It's not an easy install, but it's no different than any of the others. Just needs some attention to these details and would be a 5 star. And add in the thermal ratings for the supplied pads and paste, otherwise just save yourself whatever it costs. And if it's not a high end thermal compound then just leave it out and tell us the size of the pads needed.
