About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. Enlightened TV Viewing How did you come up with the idea for this product? Every home in India has a Cable/DTH connection, and almost every person in India has a mobile in his hand. The mobile and the cable do not talk to each other - and there lies a big disconnect between the two worlds. By bridging the two worlds using a simple device, we could unleash full power of the mobile on improving the TV experience. We iterated on many versions to build the ideal interface design, and settled on Sensy Home - the way it is. What makes your product special? It's made in India and for India. Sensy Home is wireless, takes very little power, and can be placed anywhere in your living room to suit your living room's layout. For the experience the product offers, it is very affordably priced. Most people already have a good smart phone. Instead of upgrading to buy an expensive remote, or even an expensive Set-top Box, Sensy Home takes them to a futuristic experience for TV. What has been the best part of your startup experience? Doing Sensy has been a scintillating ride in computer science, hardware and engineering. To get here, we had to outdo ourselves in software, design, recommender systems, IoT and software-hardware interaction. The learning will be with us for a life time.
