Vincent Corner Wall Engineered Wood Shelf (Wenge)

I am running a project to make my room a smart room with Hue lights, accents, ambience and bias lighting. However I felt my room had very bare corners. I bought this piece without really thinking because the price was right and it looked interesting in the photos. What I received was a heavy-ish box with the pieces required. I'm not a major DIYer but I do like to get my hands dirty at times. So after 4 days, I set to assemble it. It took a while because I didn't have the right kind of screw driver. However the end product was simply amazing. I thought it'd be small but it's just the right size for a spacious room. It's added a sense of "busy-ness" in what was otherwise a bland corner. Looks great. I'm now going to keep a Hue Go to get the ambient effect. Just go for it.

Needs an effort to assemble. Perfect product if u want to fix in one position n display show pieces (not too heavy ones). In case u plan to transport, u may want to think twice coz I doubt if it can sustain dismantling n assembling again, coz of the particle wood material.

Product Weight will itself tell you about the quality and reliability of the product. Each plank is aligned properly with the screw holes so makes it very easy to assemble. However, you will face very little discomfort when assembling middle planks. Overall, very good quality with easy to assemble. Proper guide and screws are provided for assembling. Hanging this is also very easy as it sits on three screws hold tight in plastic bits. A must go to upgrade the corner of your living room.

Since this product is for wall decor purpose i'll only discuss the key points regarding build quality,installation,appearance,finish etc.... ●Build quality is quite good. I got it at 899rs. With 75rs. Amazon pay cashback so i would say its a great product for the amount paid. I again ordered a second corner after using it for few days. Don't expect superior wood quality. Material is light weighted and prone to break if applied unnecesaary pressure while assembling the shelves. ●installation is bit tricky but instruction mannual is provided so just follow the diagrams and fix it with screws provided with product. You'll need a drill machine to hang it on a wall like i did. ●it looks good after fixing it on wall.however i felt the need of more holes for wall screws as only three holes are there to hold the entire structure. It seems little flimsy after installation. ●colour,finish everything is good. I did not get any kind of damaged shelves like some of the users got. ●gap between shelves is only 7 inches. So you can not keep any big item between them except on the top. I waited for this for amazon sake and then bought 4 nos in lightening deal at super low prices over 35 % over daily price since had additional bank offers over and above lightning deal. No installation service so asked local electrician to assemble and wall mount. Buy additional 2.25 inch screws because screws provided are thick and electricians don't have that drill bit. Looks very good in corners. It's mdf so don't think of placing heavy items. Show pieces of max 15cm look nice in this.

Overall nice quality product, although it is not wood product don't get confused but nice finishing gives a look of wood (we call it "baruda" type filling inside the wood) be careful while inserting needles once the hole already made in the product gets deteriorate you will not able to hole it again ...

Bought this on lightning offer for 999. The width of each piece is less than a foot. Can keep small items such as photo frames, keys, remotes, flower vases etc. I would have preferred MDF instead particle board/compressed wood. But I guess all the double sided laminated boards are mostly particle boards. To those who had trouble driving the screw in, a hole needs to be drilled keeping both the board pieces aligned so that the screw gets in easily. And to make the screw flush with board so that it doesn't stand out, take a plus type screw driver head and make the hole wider for the screw to sit. If you have all the tools ready, it will take about an hour to assemble the board and another 15 minutes to fix it to the wall. Stickers with matching patterns are provided to hide the screws. Neat :)

It's not a an amazing product, just gives a moderate value for money. The assembly process isn't really that simple. The instructions given is a total joke. They have given an image and just put 1,2,3 4,5 numbers randomly in the image. The corresponding text for those numbers which should supposedly be for the exact step is very vague and has no relation whatsoever with the image. Unless you are familiar with DIY projects, I wouldnt recommend that you do this assembly. I think its pretty lame that the manufacturer chose to not provide assembly. Had he charged an additional 100 or 200 and provided assembly, it would have been a really good deal. As few others have pointed out, the assembly itself is quite tricky and you need to pay lot of attention to 'gaps' between the wood pieces. The gaps would disappear on tightening the screw further (like solid wood). In MDF or compressed wood, we need to set the pieces without any gap before screwing. This would be easy for the first few pieces but the structure becomes unwieldy after bolting in more pieces. Please lay out the pieces and plan the assembly properly. You need to know which ones to screw first to ensure that you are not stuck with pieces that you find unable to screw together later. If you do not have a small star screw driver, you are going to have a tough time... Overall, after battling for an hour or so, if you are successful in completing the assembly, the only good thing is that they have given round stickers to stick on the screws :-) Have fun assembling this product if you are an enthusiast who's keen on saving some money. It does look stylish in the end.
