What a waste of money!
One of the worst external drives I have ever owned. It takes forever to read discs and when it does, the disc suddenly ejects by itself. Completely useless.

Impressive DVD drive!
This DVD drive works well on PC and Mac. Has both regular USB connector and USB-C connectors. Hard to beat for the price!

simple, easy and light weight
My husband got some free DVD from library and could like to watch at home. And obviously we have no DVD player and he thought we can still play it with our laptop. So I recently got this external reader for my MacBook air, and it’s been fantastic. Setup was a breeze—just plug it in, and it works perfectly with macOS. Watching DVDs is smooth and quiet, with no playback issues. I also love how easy it is to stream DVDs to my Apple TV via AirPlay, making it great for watching on a bigger screen. The compact design is ideal for travel, and it’s a reliable option for anyone who needs a CD/DVD drive. Highly recommend it!

Do not buy!
When I received the drive I put in a CD to verify function and it worked properly. I did not come back to use it unfortunately until after the return window had closed. When I inserted a CD, it did not function so I selected to eject the CD but it would not eject. After multiple attempts, I tried the eject button on the device with no success and then tried the pin hole which I assume is to eject though it is not mentioned in the documentation. That did not work either. I need the CD which is a program installation so I will need to destroy the drive to (hopefully) salvage me CD.
