We just had to replace our washer & dryer, and I was slightly annoyed at how many things had fallen behind the units. (so that's where my garden gloves went!) It occurred to me that I could build a countertop, maybe with a lip around the edges so stuff wouldn't fall off. And then it occurred to me that I'm not that handy, so I looked for a pre-made solution. This looked pretty good and SpaceAid is an actual company rather than a random drop shipper, so I ordered it the oak version. It's solid - I mean, it's really solid. Heavy, even. I managed to assemble it myself and barely managed to lift it onto the washer & dryer, but recommend that you consider getting someone to help you. It was actually quite easy to put together using the included allen wrench. Just pay attention and don't screw one of the sides on in the wrong direction (curved sides go in the front). It took me less than 10 minutes to assemble and that includes having to re-install the side I put in wrong. There are stick-on pads to put on the underside which serve the dual purpose of stabilizing the countertop and protecting the washer & dryer finish from scratches. The oak color is a light oak, similar to white oak, although I should have gone with something darker to pair with my gray appliances. Oh well. The countertop fits perfectly across our LG 5500-series pair.

Really helped my laundry room aesthetic come together. Fits perfectly! And doubles as an area I can fold clothes fresh out of the dryer! Thick and well made. Not cheap.

I wanted to do a mini makeover in my laundry room. I absolutely love how it turned out. The box was very well padded with styrofoam & the countertop was laid inside it with the hardware taped to the lid of the box. Very sturdy cardboard & styrofoam corners meant nothing was moving around. The instructions were easy to follow & everything was drilled perfectly & lined up correctly. I love the pads they included as they are extremely well made with a great adhesive and once I got them placed onto the bottom, nothing was moving! This is a very solid countertop for your washer/dryer. It isn’t a custom piece so I wasn’t expecting it to curve out like my washer dryer set does. However, I was very impressed with how well it fit into my space. I like the update and extra folding space I now have for a very reasonable price.

Very happy with this product from the moment it arrived to installation. Shipped well protected - no scratches or imperfections. Easy to assemble pieces with tool (wrench) included. Heavy, solid, and durable. Great color (maple). Surface coating seems water resistant. Great product!

Sturdy, well made, and instantly makes the laundry area look more organized. The length is slightly shorter than my GE washer and dryer, and the width is a bit longer, but it may fit perfectly with other brands. Measurements are accurate to the listing. It is a bit heavy so I asked my husband to help lift it on top of the machines, but I was able to assemble it myself. The raised edge is great for keeping items in place. The non-slip pads work fairly well, although the countertop still shifts a little when pushed. It stays in place better when heavier items are on top. It looks modern and clean, and adds both style and function to the space.

There aren’t enough words! This upgraded my upgrade! Bought new washer and dryer and found this topper to finish it off. So stylish and functional! Stays in place and adds useful space for laundry.

I am very pleased with both the look and function of this countertop. It was easy to put together and I assembled it in under 15 minutes. It appears to be sturdy and well-made. The faux marble is surprisingly realistic and looks good in my gray laundry room. This countertop fits perfectly on top of my new Maytag washer and dryer and functions well for folding laundry. Over-all I am very pleased with the purchase.

The counter top arrived quickly and nicely packaged. We immediately unpacked it and installed it upon its arrival. It took us less than half an hour to install. I am BEYOND happy with this purchase! This item turned out to be so much better than we expected. Solid construction and goes nicely over end if washer and drier towards the wall. Surface looks pretty durable like quality office desk.

Works great. Mine came with a scuff on the top. It doesn’t affect the function but I wish it wasn’t there.
