Pretty darn good
These cameras are awesome! Not that they couldn’t use a bit of firmware Improvement but overall easy to use easy to connect. I used to use the Cell version for remote locations, but the cell service got a bit too expensive and getting some chips from T-Mobile or AT&T cost even more. The Wi-Fi cameras on the other hand I use all over the house and even to track down where rodents were getting into the house!I have five cameras now in the attic should the rodents ever return and it shows me where they got in so that I can plug it upYes, their solar cameras and I love that too but what I do is connect the USB cable to a power source when the cameras are inside. It is only outside that I use the solar. Needless to say that gives me a great deal of flexibility. The customer service is something less than desired. They’re slow to respond. The improvements they need to make are more in the turn, turning on the light options sometimes and some cameras will obey the user setting of disable the lamp, but others just ignores the setting, especially when in night mode.Even so it is very easy to use. I monitor it on my iPhone and also use the cameras to monitor a person in my family who I have to give care to.It allows me to be able to sleep without getting up and down all night long to check on them. I have over 15 of these cameras now.I would put it in a remote location on my land up in the mountains, but the cell service is just too expensive for streaming video and notifications.

Disappointed
After purchasing this same camera almost 3 years ago & having it work great during that time period, we decided to order another. This time around though we received a pre- returned canera, because everything was already put together. We couldn't get it to connect properly, either with their service or the T-mobile SIM & service we had already been using with the previous cameras. I do hold Amazon accountable for reshipping an already returned cameras that the previous customer probably told them didnt work properly. We tried everything to get it working, including visiting a tmobile location & registering the camera & getting a new SIM, making sure the SIM functioned as 4G not just 5G. Nothing worked. We finally returned it after frustratingly trying everything the customer service suggested.Update- After returning the camera, Soliom customer service reached out to us & asked if they could send us another camera & try to make us happy. We agreed; as I said, we loved our previous camera for years. We are in FL & the weather is harsh on things. Our previous camera survived Hurricane Helene, Milton, etc. We think about falling branch from the tree nearby hit it while we were out of town or it probably would have lasted much longer. We always had clear images of the property. Cloud storage was easy to buy & it was also easy to pop in a 1T memory card, though it does come with a 32G. The camera moved smoothly via the app & it always had good battery via the solar panel. All these reasons are why we did want to replace with the same model. After receiving the new camera they sent, without any obligation to update our review or anything like that, we had about the same experience we had with the 1st camera we bought. Easy to connect.Download the app, turn on your Bluetooth, create and account on the app, then follow the prompts to connect the camera. Remember this is a 4G camera, not wifi, so use the 4G connection option. Fully charge it before trying to set up, then after turning it on, wait about 3-5 mins for a solid blue light ( or blinking blue light depending on the model you have). This time around I easily scanned the QR code, & the camera only took seconds to connect. We again bought 360 days of cloud storage & this time, instead of using T-mobile, we're just going to get service through the offered camera option. Tmobile was great for us & but we found out that these camera no longer work with some of the tmobile SIMs. It did still say tmobile would work on the paperwork in the 2nd camera, so be aware that it might not. We had already canceled our service by the time we receive this replacement camera, so using the included service was just easier as well. For us, tmobile was $11.59 a month & the service Soliom offers if $159 for the year. They are only a small amount different. So for 1 year of service it's $159 + $19 of cloud storage. We have 2 other cameras but they are wifi based. We like having the Soliom because it's not reliant on wifi & if we have power. FL has lots of storms & we do lose electricity sometimes, we like knowing we can still see the property even if wifi is down ever we are out of town.I'm very happy with the support we received & it was nice to see a company try to make their customer happy. This camera is now mounted & working great.

Doesn't work with enabled VPN
I have changed my negative review to this one. I had the pairing issues due to the enabled VPN on my phone for all apps I use. The Soliom+ phone app doesn't work properly in that case, and the camera cannot be paired at all. So, I had to enable split tunneling for the Soliom+ app to continue paring. After that is stated working fine. So, please fix the pairing and operating with the mobile app issue with the enabled VPN - for a privacy-concerned customers it is very important. Also, there is a problem with tracking - the camera records any movement of trees and bushes it sees around when it's windy, and if I enable the "Low" tracking level, it might help sometimes, but it is annoying to get notifications all the time. So, you need a place to set the camera up where there's no any trees and bushes to get the tracking working properly. And the camera suddenly was not working for a couple days - the app said it's offline. Then it came back with no reason.Recently, I was contacted via my email by somebody pretending to be a Soliom Customer Support, from a strange email address with a message having weird tracking attachments allowing sender to track the recepient's IP address and some other personal sensitive information, and having "Am*azon" and "Re*fund" words in the email subject, which usually belong to phishing cases. I never open such weird emails which mainly come from shady senders keeping an eye on people's reviews and harvesting the real customer's personal data. For the real support from Amazon sellers they usually use messaging in the Amazon app. So, if any support wants to contact customers - please use the official Amazon way.Thanks.

Great for Rural Ranch
Purchased four of these to setup at our ranches. We can monitor vehicles, and the cattle. It’s nice that you can rotate the camera from your phone, set off alarms, and lights. You will need to purchase a separate data plan (there is a QR code in the box for you to scan) I believe you can also get a SIM card from your phone service provider, but their plans are more reasonably priced.

Buyer beware!
Just installed this product two days ago, Noticed it pretty much had the same software as the other product that I had, Was hoping that it would be better Turns out to be the same, I don't know if it's the hardware the 4G service or both But something's definitely wrong with this product and they cannot seem to fix it. Buyer beware!

Great camera and app!
I've used these for years with my storage business. They work great and easy to set up. They do miss a quick passing every once in a while but the app is great and the batteries last a long time.

The camera is purpose built for remote monitoring - Looks good quality - Testing now in Australia
We tested the camera in AustraliaWe happy with the product.Actually performed better than expectation.I can recommend it.The product had good specifications and appeared to be good quality. However not suitable for Australia. CORRECTION.First camera was sold incorrectly to my region.Soliom Tech support good involved and the correct camera was supplied.Second camera connected via 4G and is working correctly, just about to start bench test.

Sim card cannot connect canada
I am from Canada and tried 4 different sim cards. All of them have been band 4, 4g data sim cards.None would connect to the camera. The service I received was also horrible and there is no phone number to call.Horrible product and horrible company.

Canadian Purchase
I ordered 4 cameras and I could not get 3 of them to work. I tried the same sim card in all 4 and would only work in one. I'm sure these work better in the states with the supplied sim cards but in Canada we need to add our own. Over all the camera works well but since I can't get the others to work maybe don't sell them to Canadians. this was the Soliom s600 3G/4G cellular camera.
