Bernat Blanket Yarn, Harvest

I wanted to crochet a new baby blanket for my first grandson due December 13th... I actually picked out this exact yarn at the local crafts store and then ordered the other 2 here! It was a much better deal here than either of my local stores! This yarn is wonderfully amazing for making super thick, incredibly soft blankets! I have used this same brand/style of yarn in the past to make blankets and they are great! They are very durable and super soft! I love that my son can lay the blanket onto the floor for baby and know that nothing that could be on the floor will simply go thru the blanket and get near the baby's mouth or nose! I accidentally cut the blanket I had made for my husband years ago and never attempted to fix it at all... It has not pulled loose or come undone whatsoever around the cut! I cannot believe how good this yarn works to make extremely long lasting blankets! It also makes the blanket basically a "weighted" blanket as well! The thickness of the yarn makes the blankets weigh much more than regular yarn would! It is in no way an uncomfortable weight however! The weight, thickness and softness this yarn makes the blankets will definitely put anyone using it to sleep very quickly! It makes extremely cozy and comforting blankets! I have many plans to make many more blankets using this brand and style of yarn! Another great aspect is vast array of colors this yarn comes in! Solid colors and mixing colors... This is definitely my favorite blanket yarn for making people that I love blankets... It seems like you can actually feel the love that it was made with!

This is a very soft yarn. Works up well. Some gaps on the yarn missing fiber. The finished project was very soft. Color is a warm white.

This is the absolute BEST yarn! I have made multiple blankets for friends, family, and self and am so impressed with how well it feels and how easy it is to work with. I made my sister a beautiful soft yellow queen spread and she loves it. My mom got jealous so I then made her one with the brown and white multicolored yarn. Both of them were so impressed - they had no idea how great this yarn is for crochet! I love making bobbles with this yarn too - it has a beautiful look! It's a bulky yarn so be prepared for a full and hot lap if you are making anything large ... I can only work on big projects with this yarn during the winter in fact (perhaps because I live in the south)! But it makes beautiful baby blankets as newborn gifts and works up amazingly fast so those are great summer projects too. If you haven't tried it - all it will take is once and you'll be hooked!

I was tempted to not post this because I wanted to be selfish and keep this great deal to myself since yarn prices are skyrocketing with covid spiking again and things shutting back down. That would be petty so here is my review :). I have been crocheting for about four years now and I just moved from acrylic yarn to this polyester yarn and I will never go back. It is super soft and the ombre colors are gorgeous. Very vibrant colors! I have ordered about 8 balls so far and I will need about 10 more for the king size blanket I am making. Now I made mine length wise first of 210 stitches. So I am crocheting the width (if that makes sense). Then it's 6 rows of single stitch and then 6 rows of double stitch. The yarn is thick so you won't see the pattern unless it is elaborate or you are close up on it. I will post a picture once the project is complete. Definitely worth the buy!

I needed more of this color than I was able to purchase at walmart, and was glad to find it here at an equivalent price. Arrived quickly enough and I was able to finish making my cloak. It's not my favorite yarn, but uber soft and nice to work with, and the cloak is warm and comfortable, if a bit heavy. It's definitely a blanket yarn. I just wish that I didn't have to purchase as many balls as I did for a single project. For a blanket yarn, I would expect larger skeins so I don't have to have as many knots.

I was having trouble locating a specific color of yarn I needed for a project and this was the closest I was able to locate so I took a chance. I’m glad I did as it worked out well. Usually I head to craft stores where you can use coupons, but when you can’t seem to locate what you need, searching on Amazon is a big plus and this vendor was able to accommodate me.

Excellent product

As with other reviews... the name is stated as "big ball", product description states 300g as it should be. However the product image is 150g. The product I received was 150g. Ordered this back in March only because it was sold really cheaply, but turns out it was a veiled scam that I just discovered when I tried to use the yarn recently and only then looked properly at the tag and size. I already opened it up and started crocheting with it before realising something was wrong. Not worth the likely only 80% refund from Amazon by seller's dishonest listing to return.

I love this yarn it’s super soft and i only needed 5 to make a decently sized blanket. The yarn is also pretty thick so it works up quickly. The blanket was also super warm

Fil de très très bonne qualité, agréable à travailler et doux. Paraît un peu cher mais en réalité les vaut vraiment de par sa qualité.
