Scotch Removable Double-Sided Mounting Squares, 36 Squares per Pack

Super adhesive! I use four for my huge posters, but honestly i could get away with just using two! A bit of a hassle to remove, and i wouldnt recommended using these unless you have a plan on where you want your posters to be because these mounters STICK! I love them!

These Scotch mounting squares are great for mounting lightweight things like posters, signs, etc on walls. They're a removable alternative to the permanent double sided tape offered by 3M. I've used these on all sorts of items and typically you can remove them without a problem but I will note a couple of considerations: First if you put these on paper, you'll probably not be able to get them off. Laminated paper or smooth surfaces is no problem though. Next, if you cut them smaller, they don't hold together as well. These are not like double sided tape where the foam is consistent throughout the product. It's like two sticky sides with an open cell foam between them. The edge of the square is the area where the two sides are joined together. So cutting the square weakens the integrity of the foam structure. Finally, if you leave them on a surface for a long time (months and months) they might leave a sticky residue behind. This easily comes off if you rub it with your finger. I use these a lot and those are my only items of note. They are of the expected 3M quality (top notch).

These small double sided adhesive squares worked well to affix magnetic snowman pieces to my apartment door, which is not metal. They were easy to apply, held well, and were easy to remove after the holiday. They did not damage the paint on the door.

I used to love these! The original gray version was absolutely perfect—super easy to use, strong, and reliable. But unfortunately, they changed the product, and the new version is a huge disappointment. These newer ones are incredibly difficult to work with. The backing paper is so hard to peel off that I actually had to stop after trying to hang just a few papers—my arms were getting sore from the struggle. It’s such a frustrating experience for something that should be quick and simple. It honestly feels like the adhesive is fighting me every step of the way. Please bring back the original version! The older gray ones worked beautifully, and these are just not usable for anyone who values their time—or their muscles. Until they switch back, I won’t be repurchasing.

I used these mounting squares all the time to hang posters and laminated charts around my home. The squares used to be a light foam and grey in color. I used them on tile, wood, and painted walls and never had a problem with them adhering or falling off after a period of time. Now... The "new adhesive" is terrible! The mounting squares are flatter and white in color. The same walls and charts that I hang (I rotate and update my charts often) with the new white adhesives are always falling off! I'm so disappointed. I've tried several packs and attempts giving the benefit of the doubt in case I happened to get a bad, defective batch. But so far the have all been like that. It's terrible. So now I will no longer be buying these and will be looking for a better product.

As with most every Scotch product, these performed perfectly: exactly as advertised and expected. Used them to hold a plastic 3 AA battery box to a painted house door. Was in place for about 6 weeks, and exposed to warm and cold temperatures. Stuck very well, yet no problem removing from either surface when I wanted to take it down. Perfect.

Really good for adhesive to wall surface. Safe for apartments and doesn’t damage paint when you remove them and are easily repositionable and stay sticky. I have also been able to remove them from cardstock without damaging the paper if you’re careful. I wouldn’t recommend for anything more than a small light frame though, they’re really more for hanging posters.

I've tried these on a few different surfaces. The only thing they were good for was mounting paper to cardboard.

Can't even hold up one picture would never buy again

Very disappointing, I tried to put up a picture but 8 squares weren't enough to hold it. I then tried to put up a small flag, and it fell too, they don't work. The one good thing is they come off the wall easy so there is no evidence of this useless product.
