Ta-Da Chair Series 2 PRO - Walking Stick with Seat, Lightweight Aluminium Pole Frame & Sturdy Foldable Stool (up to 136kg), Easy Folding Design, Ideal for Hiking & Outdoors - Adjustable

Not tried it outside yet as I’ve just received it. Indoors it works as it should, as I tentatively sat my 17 stone posterior on it. Lighter than I thought so hopefully I don’t get arm ache using it. I think I’ll probably look more like an ageing old man with it rather than a “ English man in New York”, but hope to get lots of empathy. Perhaps it will stop people asking me to do lots of physical jobs for them 😃. I’ll have to get over that initial self conscious state using it out and about. I think it has the appearance more of a folded umbrella rather than a walking stick(or a shotgun-to deter muggers 😉). I went for the Pro 2 as I thought I’d go for the best and it looks as though it’s built to last for someone of my weight, although I can understand those wanting the MK1 model for its slender looks. It’s not cheap but as it’s a one off purchase and you want the best, you pay your money and take your choice. The Pro 2 alleviates the concern about its length as it’s adjustable. I’m 5’ 10” and the middle setting seems perfect and so it should accommodate those of lesser height than me and those around 6’, albeit people have different arm lengths etc. I don’t go out of my house much being 70 and a bit seized up. I also get out of breath and knee, back and muscle pain kick in after a short distance (👂where are those violins coming from? 🙂). I’m hoping my new ‘cane’ will allow me some walks in the park etc during the warmer weather, as I will need to use it to have a nice sit down after a short distance. I’ll see if my walking range improves as I continue to use it-as people keep telling me it will (if I just get off my lazy backside 🙂). Lastly the extra cash gives you an unfolding lever to hang the thing up. It also has a mobile phone holder as no one can go for more than 5 minutes now without wanting to use their phone. I can imagine a passer by of lesser repute doing a swipe and run to alleviate you of the habit. I think I’d have designed it for the phone alone, as I use mine in a folding wallet, but it requires you use one of those simple protective surrounds-which admittedly a lot of people have. So in conclusion-I’m very pleased with it so far and looking forward to taking it for a test run-from the boot of my car 😊.

I wanted something convenient to sit on whilst attending a golf tournament. This followed the previous year when I didn't take anything and stood or sat on the grass for around twelve hours which soon became tiresome. I read various reviews before purchasing this and went ahead. The item soon arrived and generally was pleased with it. It is convenient, versatile, lightweight, quick to deploy and return back to the stick form. I used it on and off for the whole day I was out and initially was very pleased with it... and even pleased with the Mobile phone holder which is just in the right position to view and use whilst following the leader board and keeping track of who was playing each hole. My only criticism and something other reviewers have mention is the hard seat... it is just very hard plastic. Whilst it allows you to take the weight off your feat and is stable... sitting on it for any longer than half an hour at a time does become a little painful. Although for my intended purpose I moved around quite a bit so there were not many spells that I sat on it for so long... just noticed it was time to stand for a while when I did! To sum up... it is a good quality and well made item, albeit a little on the expensive side. I appreciate the effort that went into the design... it would just be better with a seat that was a little more cushioned. I guess it is easy rectified with a cushion and for short time use it is perfect. I'm happy with my purchase... as to whether I use it for a similar purpose next time... may be... depends if I find something equally as compact and a little more comfortable for longer periods of sitting.

I looked at lots of walking sticks with seats & although a bit more expensive, I'm happy with the quality & ease of use. I use a mobility scooter but can't stand for very long in shops where there is no access. It's easy to take this in case I need it so means I can go to more places independently. The stick is heavier than a standard walking stick but I find it comfortable to use. It takes seconds to put the seat down/ fold up & the seat feels sturdy. Would recommend.

One of the best purchases I ever made. Strong, yet extremely lightweight, great quality, very easy to use, nice to have a choice of colours, and arrived with a protective cover too. I've already used it as a walking stick out and about on uneven ground and I even took it with me when I was DJing for 8 hours. It was fantastic to just pop it out and take a 2-3 minute break now and again.

Robust seat. Quite light to use as a stick. The seat folds down very neatly. I am pleased with it. I got it for my wife but I may well end up using it more often. The mechanism to alter the length works well, too.

A little cumbersome but does the job. Wish , as a stick, it was a little longer.

Easy to carry, very affordable and comfortable

Ça fait quelques semaines que je possède cette canne siège. J'ai hésité longuement avant de l'acheter, car je pensais que la canne serait trop lourde. En fait, elle est assez légère et facile a utiliser comme canne. Sinon côté siège c'est très pratique et facile a utiliser, ça se déplie facilement, plus pratique que le modèle série 1 et plus costaud ( mais plus chère aussi) c'est pour l'instant le seul inconvénient que je lui trouve( le prix) . Le modèle avec poignée est préférable. Quand on a besoin de s'asseoir régulièrement c'est très pratique . Et mon entourage est parfois surpris de cette ingéniosité. Je recommande cet article.

The phoneholdet cannot be upfolded sufficiently

I am 46 and have had progressively worsening hip pain for decades now. For the last eight or so years I have been disabled by it. I need double hip replacements but need to lose some weight before surgery, so, in the meanwhile, I am in constant debilitating pain and cannot stand long at all. Obviously, this dramatically negatively affects what I can do. I have resorted to taking a stroller out places with me for support and hanging a folding chair off of the back to open and sit on whenever I have to (which is nearly constantly). But, this is large, clunky, and not comfortable. I came across the TaDa Chair looking for portable stools and I ordered it and a much less expensive portable collapsing stool to compare for comfort or usability. The TaDa won. Today I went with my family on a garden tour. This thing allowed me to go! I could walk a few steps with the walking stick for very sturdy support, yet it is lightweight. Then I could stop, open it, and sit a few minutes while people explored the area, then move along and repeat. It allowed me to be there! It is very comfortable, which is a lot for me to say as everything hurts my hips. I was worried it would not be wide enough, again I am overweight and pressure on my sit bones hurts due to the pressure it places on my hip joints to just sit. It is super comfortable. While I am still in constant pain, this is giving me back to ability to go some places I wouldn't think of being able to handle before. If you think this might help you at all I encourage you to try it. My teenage son kept trying to sneak a sit on it and even he, who is in great physical shape, found it very nice when his feet were hurting after a long tour (before the garden walk had gone on an hour and a half walking tour of a historical mansion so when he met up with me in the garden his feet were tired). So it is helpful for all ages. This one is also great as it is height adjustable so I could get the cane height just right. And the seat is at a great chair sitting angle so it does not feel like you are squatting. It is easy to get on and off of. And it is so easy to open with one hand and re-close, or if you are going just a few feet, you can leave the seat open and use it as a cane still very efficiently.
