Good Printer
Given the 'not so good' reviews, I was a little apprehensive to buy this printer at first. This replaces a WF3620, in which I was very happy with its performance. But the print head began to print only Yellow and Black, and several attempts to 'unclog' the Cyan and Magenta nossles proved unsuccessful. But, I am very happy with the WF3820 - both with the price and the performance. It is faster and the graphics are clear and sharp. The 'jury' is still out on how much toner it uses, but suspect it is around the same as with the WF3620. If so, then I will retain my 5 Star rating.

Nice All-In-One Printer
Unlike my other printer (hp Envy) this printer maintains a strong Wi-Fi connection, and I don’t have to wake it to start a printing process. It is not too wide, but it is a bit on the tall side (much like a cube) and mainly has to be stored on top of a shelf/desk. Colors are good and print quality is nice too. It was very easy to set up, however, one of my devices couldn’t establish a connection with the printer and I had to connect via ip address (not that hard to find and add). So far I have not experienced any ink smudges or bleeding on anything I’ve printed yet. It is user friendly and I believe it is a mid-range printer of high results that every small business or home should have at a very good price.

Go buy a box of crayons, it will be more reliable
This printer is now an expensive paper weight after only 5 months. I bought this printer in September 2022. It was always a little glitchy with the wireless printing, so I had to connect it to my PC with a USB cable. Not a big deal. The Epson printer cartridge are quite pricey, so I began using remanufactured Epson 822 ink cartridges, also without incident. Until yesterday. I was printing something when I got a "firmware update available" notice. So once the printing was done I download the update. After it was installed, the printer immediately flashed an error message, it was rejecting the remanufactured cartridge that was working fine before the update. So I replaced it with a different remanufactured cartridge, same thing. So I called Epson, and I got the corporate BS that it wasn't their fault, it must be a faulty remanufactured cartridge. A guy in the next office has the same printer, but was smart enough not to download the update. So I tested three different remanufactured cartridges in his WF-3820, and actually also in his assistant's, and they worked fine. The only difference being neither of them downloaded the update. So I called Epson back and was told in no uncertain terms that they don't guarantee third party cartridges, which is fine, that I understand. I also got an admission that there were some "changes" to the system in the current firmware update that "might" render third party cartridges that worked before inoperable. For the record, that is not legal if it's not disclosed, which it wasn't, but they don't care. I am getting rid of this printer, I will make up the cost in the savings from two or three remanufactured cartridges for whatever printer I buy, but rest assured it will NOT be an Epson. If you are thinking of buying a WF-3820, just take the money and flush it down the toilet, it basically the same result that I had with this piece of garbage, and then buy a non-Epson printer. I wish did class actions, this is ripe for one.

Works well
So far, it works pretty well. This was easy to set up and it does what it’s supposed to do. The document feeder get jammed sometimes, but you can’t expect much more from this price. The expensive models aren’t any better anyway. It’s not as noisy as other Epson models. I don’t like the fact that the cheaper models don’t scan double sided anymore. That was a great feature that they used to have.

Only works with genuine $70.00 Epson ink
Only works with $70.00 Epson ink. Third party ink come up as counterfeit, rendering the printer as useless. What a waste it was to buy this printer. It's like finding out that when your new car needs tires that your new car won't start unless you buy new tires from the cars manufacturer.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER
This printer is AWFUL. For the price you would expect a printer that prints quickly, stays connected wirelessly, does not jam frequently, does not grab multiple sheets of paper when printing, does not waste ink, does not struggle printing multiple jobs at a time, yet this printer does all those things! You can't load 2 different types of paper without the printer having issues scooping extras off the bottom, so if you have regular printer paper in then decide to print some labels or something on cardstock, you have to remove the printer paper before adding the other type of paper. You cannot leave the printer on and have it stay connected to the wireless network, it will drop connection after 8-12 hours, forcing you to turn the printer off then back on. If you print off more than 10 pages at a time, the paper tray will get disorganized causing the rollers to pick up multiple pages, printing on a few at a time at an offset, so not only do you get to reprint that page, you get to throw away a few pages of paper, great for labels and cardstock. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!!!! I've bought $50 printers that are better than this in every way. I would not recommend this printer to anyone, I will actively tell people to never buy an Epson. I've added a picture showing how much paper was wasted while trying to print FIVE pages of labels. It took me about 45 minutes to get this job done between resetting the printer, refilling the paper, swapping pages, refilling the printer after it took extra pages, etc. AWFUL.
