Double LP (cut at 45pm) on 180g in a gatefold sleeve with a download code. GUNSHIP describe themselves as a neon soaked, late night, sonic getaway drive, dripping with luscious analogue synthesizers, cinematic vocals and cyberpunk values, exploding from the front cover of a dusty plastic VHS case which has lain forgotten since 1984. 'Dark All Day', the bands sophomore album, sees them build on the success of their 2015 eponymous long player, furthering their reputation as pioneers of the synthwave scene and continuing the 80's retro revival theme. For fans of Drive, Stranger Things, Ready Player One and arcade games. Created by Dan Haigh, Alex Westaway and Alex Gingell, GUNSHIP is more of a story than a soundtrack, written large across an eighties action cinema screen with genre inspired clips accompanying their releases with videos to date clocking up over 12 Million views on Youtube so far. As with its predecessor 'Dark All Day' features various artists from the bands world including Wil Wheaton (The Big Bang Theory / Star Trek / Stand By Me), Kat Von D (celebrity model, make-up mogul and tattooist) and the original 'Lost Boy' Tim Capello who plays sax on the album's title track. Review: God I love this album - Got to say gunship had been the first band in years to convince me to buy their album, mostly just streamed anything I found that caught my attention. Every song on this album sounds crisp and clear, not too mention side b of disk 2 being an absolute cracker, every song on that side is just perfect, radically rise the midnight girl. The quality of the gatefold sleeve is fantastic, sturdy and gorgeous art work, really appreciate the berserk fandom in this band so much, they really turned out a great effort on every aspect of this album. Honestly listening to this album to me feels like being taken on a journey through grim melancholy tinged with hope and passion throughout, found myself humming so many of the songs for days after and haven't stopped playing the record since I got it through my door. Seriously great album can't wait to see where they go next, love you gunship. Review: Brilliant, atmospheric album - Synthwave is not my natural musical niche. I'd never heard of this band before a few weeks ago when my favourite author Richard Morgan tweeted about them (the first track 'Woken Furies' is partly inspired by his work and he makes a cameo in it). I listened to a few of their older songs and kinda liked them. I watched their 'Dark All Day' video and enjoyed that a lot. I was still a little reluctant to step outside my music comfort zone though... But I'm so glad I did! This album is almost uniformly superb. The only stumble IMO is the Cyndi Lauper''Time After Time' cover and that's mostly because it feels unnecessarily included in the context of such a great album.

Listen with headphones
I am a massive fan of Gunships first album from the first song I heard and was really struggling to like this second effort after just a few listens to a couple of songs on youtube. This album needs your full concentration and a good few listens all the way through. definitely an album to savour as it was meant to be listened too. I love listening to it walking to work in the dark especially when its raining, very satisfying. I have a feeling they love Vangelis/80's OST's as much as I do.

Retro vibe
Decent follow-up album continuing with the 80s vibe, but also featuring that oiled-up sax playing dude from The Lost Boys. Worth getting for the sax action alone!

Brilliant album, great quality press
What is there not to like. Album is great, and the press is really good quality. This is now one of my go to albums for music of this genre! Now eagerly awaiting the next release!

Glorious
For a fan of synth wave, this album is at the high end of this genre. This album has a darker ‘Stranger Things’ sound, but layers great variety throughout. Stand out tracks are ‘Atermis & Parzival’ ‘Dark all day’ ‘Time after time’ ‘Cyber City’ and ‘Woken Furies’. With the very 80’s horror influenced sound the band layers refers to days gone by, with twists that make it something unique. An easy buy for a synth wave fan, and if your not into synth wave this can still appeal to those who love alternative/rock.

Excellent groupe pas très connue. Sait le 3 album que j'achète et toujours pas déçu. Leur clip mérite d'être vu sur YouTube. Il ya énormément de références de film Sf et de dessin animé des années 90.
