I picked up the Avantree Relay mainly for use on flights, and it’s been very reliable so far.Setup is simple and quick, pairing easily with my Bluetooth headphones. Once connected, the audio has been stable with no noticeable dropouts or lag, even during long flights. Sound quality is very good for a Bluetooth adapter, and it works well for movies, TV shows, and general audio without sync issues.The adapter itself is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry in hand luggage or a pocket. Battery life has been more than sufficient for long journeys, and I’ve been able to use it across multiple flights without needing to recharge in between.Build quality feels solid, and the physical controls are easy to use without needing to look at the device. It also works well beyond flights — I’ve used it with gym equipment and other non‑Bluetooth audio sources with consistent results.Overall, this is a well‑designed, dependable Bluetooth adapter that does exactly what it’s meant to do. I bought the Avantree Relay for a return flight with Virgin Atlantic and used it with my Sony WH CH520 wireless Bluetooth headphones. It worked brilliantly on both flights.On the outbound flight, the aircraft had Bluetooth connectivity, but it kept disconnecting, which became really frustrating. As soon as I plugged in the Avantree Relay, my headphones stayed connected for the entire 11 hour flight without a single issue.On the return flight, I was on an older aircraft that did not have Bluetooth at all, so the Relay was essential. The airline does provide wired headphones, but the sound quality is not great, and I much prefer using my own headphones as they block out more background noise and are far more comfortable.I only charged the Relay before each flight, and the battery easily lasted the entire journey with plenty of power to spare.It was simple to set up, reliable throughout both flights, and made a huge difference to my in flight entertainment. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to use their own wireless headphones when flying.

Fed up with using airline headphones which are poor quality and often broken, well this transmitter allows you to use up to two pairs of your own headphones same time. I fly a lot for work and these seem great.Only tried on laptop so far, but will work on any source with a 3.5mm earphone socket. Only gave 4* not 5 as the plug is straight, not 90 degrees, so in some airline seats could be an issue. Also comes with 2pin airline type adapter

Finally got to try this out on four long flights to Auss and back. Paired effortlessly with mu Bose NC headphones with no percevable delay to the sound. Made long flights much more enjoyable (?) With clear sound without the wire getting in the way. I was also surprised at how long the battery listed- not on the full flight but quite a lot of the 23 hrs each way and didn't run out!! Definitely a great buy and is now permanently in my headphones case. Didn't try pairing a second device, will try this next time. Small case to put it in is good too.

Purchased for my 9 hour flight to Nashville from UK flying with BA. the device worked really well with my Samsung Galaxy Earbuds - sound quality was even better than my phone! I would highly recommend reading instructions and playing around with it before flying. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes for it to connect to your phone when on plane. However great quality.

Got this for a long haul flights and just had chance to test it.So it works ok, easy to pair. Weird things happen to my beats in ear headphones after a 30-40 minutes like a crackling noise or one ear dropping out, turning it on and off again fixes that.For the money I'd expect better but it's easily fixed by cycling the power.Comes well packaged and has a handy little pouch for the bits.Not great, but good enough for the use it'll get, definitely worth £10, but not £30

Great little dongle with a handy carry case. I use it on the iPad which still has a headphone port so that both my kids can watch a film together with their own headphones. Or myself and my husband can use our Bluetooth earphones to watch the same thing. My husband’s headphones are better quality than my basic ones and he doesn’t experience any lag but I do have a slight sound lag, but not enough to bother me.Slightly more expensive than I wanted to pay for an item that will only get used a few times a year, but I wanted a reliable adaptor and this has fit the bill so far.

Works perfectly.I connected it to the emirates headphone jack and was able to sync the audio from my movie and have my partner watch and listen simultaneously. Great device for if you travel frequently long haul and like to co watch movies with someone. It’s also useful for if you wanna share music with others on the go - however remember - if you have an iPhone with USB C - you need an aux to USB C adapter !

Bought it for a recent long airplane ride from Dubai to Canada. Was Flying on ITA Airways. Didn't need to use because ITA allows direct bluetooth connection, but I tested it on my laptop and it worked as stated.Only problem is trying to remember the directions to connect/pair since I don't use it very often.

Ich habe mir den Adapter primär für die Nutzung auf Langstreckenflügen zugelegt.Mein Fazit nach 2 Mittel- (> 3 Std.) und 3 Langstreckenflügen (> 8 Std.): Top!Für mich ist es ein Gamechanger, endlich meine Bluetooth-Kopfhörer (JBL Live Pro 2) mit dem Bordentertainment verbinden zu können - um einerseits Filme in besserer Tonqualität genießen zu können, aber auch eventuelle Störgeräusche ausblenden zu können.Folgende Kriterien waren entscheidend dafür, dass ich mich für den Avantree Relay entschieden habe:- lange Akkulaufzeit: wird mit ca. 20 Stunden angegeben. Kombi aus Mittel- und Langstrecke mit in der Summe je 14-18 Stunden hat das Gerät anstandslos mitgemacht!- schnelles Wiederaufladen: wird mit ca. 20 Minuten angegeben. Ich habe keine Stoppuhr gestellt, aber es geht wirklich verdammt schnell, bis das Gerät wieder einsatzberei ist, nachdem der Akku leer war.- Low Latency-Unterstützung: Ich war im Vorfeld etwas skeptisch, da ich immer wieder von Verzögerungen bei der Ton- im Vergleich zur Bildübertragung gelesen habe. Um diese zu vermeiden, müssen sowohl Bluetooth-Adapter als auch Kopfhörer diese Funktion unterstützen. Bei mir hat das mit dem Avantree in der Kombi mit dem JBL Live Pro absolut einwandfrei funktioniert!- Design und Funktionen: ich empfinde es als praktisch, dass man auch am Adapter eine Möglichkeit zur Lautstärkeregulierung hat. Allgemein ist der Adapter nicht nur klein und leicht, sondern wirkt auch wertig verarbeitet und ist intuitiv bedienbar. In blau passt er sogar farblich zu meinen Kopfhörern! Das war zwar kein Kriterium, ist aber trotzdem nett ;-)Der Artikel war gut verpackt und der Lieferumfang umfasst neben dem Adapter selbst auch noch ein Ladekabel und einen Dual-Aux-Adapter, dazu noch ein kleines Täschchen, in dem sich alles für die Reise perfekt verstauen lässt.Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung - ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden.
