Echinocactus grusonii Golden Barrel Cactus 3.5"

It came double boxed. There was about 1.5 inches of room for the inner box to shake (end to end). The inner box came open, a little of the soil escaped, maybe 2 tablespoons. The inner paper wrapping kept it all together. Regardless of that, I received a healthy, vibrant green, well rooted cactus. It was already time to re-pot "Thornton", and that was a good thing. The strong root system held the dry soil it shipped in together very nicely. A planter with Cactus/Succulent soil was already waiting. I loosened the root system, set "Thornton down on top of 2-3 inches of soil and spooned the rest in around the sides while tapping on the sides of the new planter to settle the soil and anchor the plant. Gave it a misting of water, and put him on the window sill above the kitchen sink. He's good for a month or two. I would buy again from this source. As you can see, the plant I received was healthy and free of blemishes, with beautiful light golden spines.

Absolutely the cutest little cactus ever. Doing very well in full sun here in Arizona

Beautiful specimen. Looked like it was cared for and loved. Thrilled to have it.

Was not what I was expecting. I suppose in the literal sense it could be called a barrow cactus, but not what the picture suggested it would look like as an adult.

Just received mine today!! Very healthy cactus.. It looks just like the picture, but with a little less spikes.. A little smaller than a baseball at this point.. Really happy with this, bought another one for a buddy!!

Well packed with great roots and a full 3.75" in diameter.

I thought it was just too small in my opinion but the plant is healthy

This is the perfect addition to my home. It's earthy and unique, and so far I've gotten lots of compliments on it. A cactus has the potential to live many years so it's a long-term keepsake. Care is simple, and this order comes with directions on how to care for your Echinocactus Grusonii Golden Barrel Cactus. The pot that it comes with is just basic (plastic material), so if you want something more durable you may want to purchase one at your local Home Depot or another store that sells outdoor equipment. Also, the cactus will eventually grow larger, so another pot will be needed in the future. Delivery was prompt and the item came as pictured. The price is very reasonable. I highly recommend this product, especially for those whom would like to bring a little bit of nature inside their home, those who are first-time houseplant owners, or those who want something that's simple to care for.
