This translator helps a lot for my parents while they are visiting me in US. For all the stuff with instructions in English, they just take a picture of the cover and will be able to see it in Chinese pretty quick. Also, when they go outside, they can use it to have simple conversation. The translation is accurate most time. Also, the machine could identify your words very fast. You can use it even without network. Besides English, I tried Korean and Japanese translation. I will definitely take it with me when traveling in these countries. The seller ship the product really fast and with good cover. Highly recommended for people who needs to go abroad.

Product worked as advertised, translating English to Chinese took a few times to get it right on occasion

While connected to WIFI, I tried translation of speaking Chinese into English, the device couldn't recognize my voice correctly. Then, I tried using photo taking function to translate printed English text into Chinese. Surprisingly, it still made many errors in translation. It is worse than Google translator, based on my testing.

Hi This item was purchased for me and my Chinese Wife. It really helped us and her in school and daily life. If you work installed a heavy steel building, are where there is a lot of electrical equipment and the wi fi is not strong do not get this one. Its outstanding in a normal environment but no to good in a heavy building. Seller should either provide a good protective case as everyone drops a phone are item sometimes. The cost of this item would better sale in my view as a traveler with a protective case like otter box. When i save more money I will buy another one but not without finding a good case for it first. Sellers do not are can not provide repair services for the glass front.

After spending time with some Chinese friends who had (what I thought) was the same model and after having a great experience communicating with them one day using that device, I decided to splurge and buy the iFLYTEK. My Mandarin is not great but the translator was inconsistent in its translation of words and phrases I know well. In fact, using Google Translate app and iFLYTEK at the same time, I spoke many phrases I know well and Google Translate "nailed it" about 95% of the time, whereas the iFLYTEK was more like 30%40% accurate I really wanted it; I really wanted it to work and to travel with it on my next China trip- I've been eyeing the device for over a year but not buying because it was so expensive but alas, it did not make the cut. It's super responsive and fast but, of course, accuracy is paramount. For now, I'll use the slower but more accurate Google Translate on my iPhone along with my 'YoYo Chinese' course.
