This thing is AMAZING!
This is amazing. It shoots a planetarium level starscape onto your ceiling. It is VERY helpful that you can adjust the size and focus to your room size. It’s more expensive than similar sounding projectors, but it also shows 3.2 MILLION star vs 60 thousand on the better alternatives. The room has to be dark. It still looks good if there are minor light sources, but the darker the better. I did a bunch of research and saw a bunch of people complain that it doesn’t look as good with the lights on. I don’t know why that is surprising, but now you can go into this knowing that it needs to be dark for you to see the stars. It also uses a disk system where the light shines through a disk with the image of the sky engraved in it to produce the starry sky. I and others have wondered why you would use a seemingly archaic disk system instead of just projecting a digital image that you can change in real time. It seems like this is still the best solution for the most crisp starry sky projection with minimal sound, energy requirements, or heat output. I have a few good projectors and none of them could pull off what this thing does, though they are much better at other things. My kids (and I) are mesmerized by this thing and they want to sleep under it every night. The “moon disk” is really cool and detailed, and the twinkling star disk (you have to buy separately) is mesmerizing. This is probably the longest review I’ve written on Amazon, and it’s because I’m genuinely so pumped about this little star projector.

Consider pretty loud mechanical sound, nevertheless image is spectacular.
Would give 5 stars if not for the loud mechanical sound which is annoying when trying to fall asleep. Spectacular image.

Something you never know you needed!
An incredible piece of engineering in the palm of your hand. Definitely worth it. I use it for falling asleep but also to learn constellations with dim stars because my sky quality is Bortle 8, so this helps me a lot to map the stars inside my room. It’s very bright, just enough to fill an 18m planetarium dome with stars, and the zoom functionality is something you can’t live without after trying it. Just take this option if you are looking for a mini star projector!

Not worth the money!
Please do not waist your money! For This product to work it has to be PITCH BLACK. I bought it for a sound bath and i wanted to give my clients an immersive experience and this did not help me achieve that. Also the images are very basic this product is over priced and this product should be $25 at the most!

Too bright for me
This thing is BRIGHT. I was hoping to use as a peaceful nightlight with the timer but it’s not at all like outdoor stars. It’s more like turning a wide aperature flashlight on your ceiling. Also found the preloaded disc to have way too many stars. I’ve traveled to extremely remote parts of Namibia and let’s just say there’s zero ambient light there and it looks nothing like this projector.

Super cool!
A nice "entry level" astronomical projector. The images are super crisp and clear. I use the northern hemisphere disc the most. I put it on the slowest setting and climb into bed. Puts me out every time! Hypnotic. The walls seem to disappear. If I wake up after the timer shuts it off, the room looks so plain! If you're checking this product out, just step up and get one. Very unique. Super cool.

Most realistic star projector out there
Awesome projector that makes it look like you outside watching the stars. The “stormy night” Disc is our favorite

Nice to look at but not that clear
Fun to watch at night like stargazing. Definitely not as clear as I would like it, but fun and relaxing.

Best Star Projector
Was really surprised to find that this was not a popular star projector. This one really shows its value in its chrome discs that have unparalleled level of detail. Personally, I like that its only in black and white since it feels more realistic. I also like the design of the projector with the purple LEDs. Bit on the pricey side but at the end of the day, you’re paying for quality and this will last wayyy longer considering chrome discs don’t fade like film discs which are used on every other projector. My only wish would be for the projector to be able to adjust brightness. Overall, really good, high-quality star projector!
