Product Description This conductive shielding paint is a great way for quieting all noisy Strat, Tele, LP style guitars! The easiest way to shield instrument pickup cavities, jack holes, control cavities and other smaller areas. When connected to electrical ground, the shielded surfaces creates a "Faraday Cage" helps reduce noise, hum and radio interference. It cleans up with water while still wet, and dries overnight. This is for 1 guitar application. Application: Apply 3 even coats 24hrs apart (or use hair dryer to speed up process) best to allow to air dry naturally for 24hrs before applying each coat. Make sure the foil on Fender style pickguard touches conductive paint for continuity. On LP style guitars use copper tape on control covers for continuity. Don't use conductive paint on the back of pickguards or control covers. Please note: Please check out our full kit! You'll get 400 grit sandpaper, Hobby brush applicator, peel and stick Copper Tape and full color picture instructions. PLEASE NOTE: You cannot use a VU meter to test conductivity. This is for RF (Radio Frequency) Conductive shielding, which you don't use a VU meter for. It's more effective if you apply 3 thin coats and let them FULLY-DRY before each coat. The multi-layered paint acts as a blanket of RF shielding resulting in quieting hum and extraneous noise from unwanted frequency's. I've used this shielding paint for 20+ years on personal guitars and on 100's of customer guitars from professional players to bedroom player's and all my custom built guitars all have this shielding paint installed with the same great results and all satisfied customers.
