Star Brite Power Pine Bilge Cleaner, Concentrated

This concentrated gel-like product is by far the best bilge cleaner, and effective at eliminating odors. A tiny amount goes a long ways....I use about 1 oz in a gal of water to eliminate organic bilge smells on 60 ft boat. Might use a couple more oz if degreasing. This compares favorably to others (at similar cost) which require the entire quart for one treatment. Pine/citrus smell is pleasant and not overwhelming. It is frequently out of stock at national marine retailer, and Amazon price is slightly better.

This stuff saved the day when we had a massive oil spill that shot 5.5 quarts of fresh oil, all down the hull of our boat from a filter being double gasketed on accident from somebody who said they knew what they were doing on a simple oil change. I was able to use this with hot water & the white oil absorbing pads to seperate the contaminated water from the oil and we're back in business. Highly recommend for cleaning the hull from contaminates such as oil and gas. Regular dish soap & simple green just wont cut it. We tried. Just remember to put your plug in and drive back and forth in your driveway to slosh it around to remove all oil coated on hull walls then extract all contaminated backwash out through a pump into the biggest holding containers you have. If using 5 gal buckets place the black heavy contractor bags inside buckets before you start extracting, it makes it easier for cleanup and using the white oil absorbing pads to dunk into as you pull the oil from the water. Then you can double knot the bags for easy transport to waste facility so there are no spills in the back of your vehicle. You will need to do this process at least 3-4 times in this type of situation and dispose of the contents at a local toxic household waste facility in your area. Do not let this go into storm drains or throw the flamable rags in the trash. They will take it all, oil logged carpet, rags, absorbent sheets, towels, and the used oil, fuel/water seperator filters as well. Have everything bagged up and they will come outside and remove it from your vehicle as u sit inside the truck. Works well enough. It is not magic though, you are not going to just pour it in drive around and have a spotless bilge. But it does help. Scent is strong, so you’ll want to get it all pumped out afterwards.

This stuff actually works on the greasy grime and oil residue that builds up in a bilge over time. You do have to do some scrubbing but it is way less than with regular cleaners and the results are noticeably better. The pine scent is pleasant and helps cut through that boat smell for a while after cleaning. Good product for keeping the bilge in reasonable shape.

It was shipped properly which I worry about with liquids. I opened the jug and had to call support because it was so thick. As it got warmer it still was thick. It's very concentrated. Mix sum up and it took care of the mess in the bilge.

Great stuff but bottle arrived damaged and leaking

Fantastic product. Very concentrated and works like magic. Added to bidgle area, went for a boat ride for an hour while the mixture swished and swooshed around. Came back and my boat smelled fresh like pine and citrus. No more cheesy bildge smell. My entire boat smells fantastic now. Thanks.
