I purchased this junction box thinking I may need it to install my new camera. For my install on garage to watch wild life back yard installed easy enough though a third hand would be helpful. This junction box is well made and allows my camera Amcrest UltraHD 4K 8MP. AI to be installed on garage vertical wall which allows the camera to be freely turned up towards the stars or down to see the wild life roaming my yard. Did not try to fit cat.cable 6 plug in box thought it ——-got lazy because I want to move camera to different areas to watch baby ducks this spring at our pond.

Very impressed! Rock solid, extremely well manufactured, and all parts and screws fit perfectly. Has an O-ring that fits around the top to seal it. I makes the camera installation much easier, especially,hiding of the wires. The only odd part was that the supplied allen wrench to open the box is shipped inside the box, so I had to use mt own allen wrench first to open it.

Although not specifically listed for use with Amcrest IP2M-866W, I bought this to mount that PTZ camera. The mounting hole match fine and had to loosen the camera screw that secure the mounting tabs in order to clear the stainless steel pan head screws heads. But it all went together and I’m very pleased with the product.

They are perfectly sized for the Amcrest cameras. They are will made, and all of the screw holes line up.

Just what I needed to replace an older, non-functioning camera, with a new one. The Amcrest camera mounted perfectly to the front of the junction box. Caulking between the box and an exterior brick wall was needed to insure against water penetration. Very pleased and will order again when other camera's need replacement.

Does not include extra screws! With all of Amcrest products, need to really scavenge for extra screws and plastic o-rings, etc! They tend to perform half an excellent job, while forgetting essentials for those of us up on ladders, such as providing extra screws, o-rings and proper installation instructions. Also, provide more relaxed warranties across the board rather than relying upon third party warranties for their innards malfunctioning products poorly camouflaged by their heavy duty steel casings. Shrugs... it is what it is. This junction box was purchased to mount a Amcrest IP8M-2496EW-V2 camera. Mounting the camera without this type of junction box would make installation very difficult as there is no space allotted for the leads and connector. The junction box is very sturdy and has the approximate threaded hole pattern for the IP8M-VB2896EW-AI camera. Most notably is that cover mounting screws are captive and the cover is connected to the body by a metal cable making mounting of the junction box less of a task. Con: There are Three (3) “fixed” hole positions for attaching the junction box to a surface which does not allow for rotational adjustment in positioning the camera body. I was able to use a large flat washer and screw in the hole at the bottom center of the Junction box, to allow rotation for camera position. If hole at the bottom center is needed to exit ethernet cable then mounting would become more difficult.
