Perfect fit
Extremely comfortable for wide feet.

Great zero drop option.
Fits slightly long so went half size down, very comfortable, bought as a multi use gym shoe but have worn as a daily shoe.Yet to run in them but quality is good.

Comfortable wide fit
I own the Lone Peak 9 Plus (Vibram outsole) and thought I’d get another Lone Peak to reduce the wear. These ones are seemingly just as comfortable, though the Plus feels ever so slightly wider than these — though it might be down to long term wear and stretch. The black colour is neutral and doesn’t scream trainer.

Very comfortable and great grip.
Very comfortable and good fit. Build quality is excellent with good support and grip.
User
Lightweight and comfortable
Exceptionally comfortable and lightweight. Surprisingly supportive despite the lightweight construction. The wide toe box means they can be worn for hours with minimal forefoot fatigue. Sole seems to be adequately grippy.
User
Wide footbed, good foot positioning
Comfortable straight out of the box; no ‘wearing in’. Will buy again. The wide toe bed is great for walking and hiking
User
Comfortable, Good grip on the ground
My Toes are free :) Very comfortable for walking, The grip on the ground feels solid. Laces are a bit too long, but not a problem, these seem built to last

Be careful, these aren't for everyone
These are very well made shoes, but the zero drop has caused me all sorts of problems.I am now struggling with quite significant pain in my achilles, which is limiting the amount I can do. I would recommend these shoes if you are confident that you have the required flexibility to wear them, but please heed my warning if you aren't sure!

Confortables
Muy confortable, el calzado con puntera ancha no es el más bonito, así que con buena calidad se llevan fácil.

Great shoe
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Perfect Trail Companion! The ALTRA Men’s Lone Peak 9 Trail Running Shoe is hands down one of the best trail shoes I’ve ever worn. From the moment I laced them up, I could tell these were built for serious comfort and performance. The wide toe box allows my feet to spread naturally, which makes a huge difference on long runs and hikes. The zero-drop platform feels balanced and promotes a more natural stride, especially on uneven terrain. The grip on these shoes is phenomenal — whether I’m running through muddy trails, loose gravel, or rocky inclines, the MaxTrac outsole keeps me stable and confident. The updated midsole cushioning strikes a perfect balance between softness and responsiveness, absorbing impact without feeling spongy. They’re also lightweight and breathable, which keeps my feet cool even on long summer runs. After several weeks of use, they’ve held up incredibly well — no signs of wear or breakdown, which speaks to the solid build quality.Overall, the Lone Peak 9 continues ALTRA’s tradition of durable, comfortable, and trail-ready shoes. If you’re a trail runner, hiker, or just someone who loves being outdoors, this shoe is a fantastic investment.✅ Pros: Comfort, grip, wide toe box, durability, balanced cushioning⚠️ Cons: Runs slightly large — consider half a size downHighly recommend for anyone who values comfort and stability on the trail!

The shoe for you!
For a number of years, I’ve worn much earlier versions/models of this Altra Lone Peak “hiking boot” during world travel, and I’m extremely pleased with its ergonomic fit, comfort, durability, tread, and light weight.I received this latest version (Lone Peak 9) of the boot recently, and as usual, it’s a comfort fit right out of the box, plus they are even lighter weight than my previous pair. My feet are medium width. So far, the “waterproofness” is fairly good, but I suspect a spray of “ScotchGuard” may be needed in the future to maintain water repellent effectiveness. Altra also makes a different hiking boot that is constructed with better waterproof material.Be sure to visit Altra’s website to educate yourself on the various fit profiles of their shoes because one model shoe can have a very different fit profile design as compared to another model in Altra’s offerings. I’ve also worn various iterations of the Lone Peak low cut trail/walking shoe for many years, and the wide toe box zero drop design is a game changer because it allows the foot to function more naturally. Study the incredible anatomy/function of the human foot and you’ll appreciate how accommodating Altra shoes can be.At the risk of sounding like a promotion for Altra, my wife’s foot pain of eleven years resolved after switching to Altra, and the wide toe box was/is most influential toward that resolution. Toes don’t function very well in a cramped environment.Altra’s customer service has been exceptionally superb over the years in accommodating my requests, as well as educating my choices. it’s no wonder why I’m a loyal customer.
