XRT specialty tubes are made from the highest quality 316LSS to last a lifetime. This 316LSS coupling withstands temperature extremes and is very resistant to abrasives, and unlike others, will never corrode. Comes with 3 10mm aluminum spacers Spacers are oversize, cut them to your needed length with a plumbers pipe cutter or remove a small a on a sheet of sandpaper. XRT adapters are recommended, (search for them on Newegg website) but will work with other brands as long as threads match. Because it will prevent inadvertent unthreading between tube and adapters during removal. How so? read on... With the common Right hand threads, the whole assembly gets tightened during install, and loosened during removal. Because of the exposure to heat, removal will always require more force than install, and often times the threads will break free at the tube/adapter union, leaving you with an exposed threads adapter stuck to your equipment. But with the use of left hand threads at the tube/adapter union, the adapter will be getting tightened into the tube during removal from you equipment, and you will never end up with a cap stuck to your equipment. A perfect solution! But doesnt that mean the adapter will be getting unscrewed from the tube during install onto equipment? Yes, but not if you put on a small drop of loctite onto the M27 threads (at the adapter/tube union). Install onto equipment should be done with only light hand torque, and should never get even close to the forces it will take to break loose the loctite!
