The computer is great. Fast and takes up little room (the new all-in-one design is very efficient). The new Windows operating system leaves something to be desired. Very cumbersome, and requires having to log into a Microsoft account to make everything work. Still having problems with getting the printer to work.

Pretty good computer, great price...
This was a refurbished computer and although it works well most of the time, it seems to have a couple of resident gremlins that escaped the deletion process. It gives my HP 4630 incomplete orders when printing from it although when I airprint from my iPhone there are no printing problems whatsoever, so it isn't the printer. I read customer reviews religiously before buying just about anything these days (thank you, Amazon!) and did also in this case but I think I just lucked into an off-purchase this time. I will not return it as it's such a hassle and I have a lot of files that I'd hate to have to transfer. I'll just put up with my Amazon Music skipping, having to reprint the first page of just about everything and not being able to upload ALL of my photos from my iPhone to my computer. Ohhh, wellll...

Not a safe or flexible purchase
A family member got this PC and had it less than a year when Windows got stuck in a repair boot loop. I spent a full day dealing with the PC and dealing with the obnoxious support process at HP. The PC has secure boot set in the BIOS to only boot from HP media. You can't install an OS from a retail copy of Windows 8 because it won't boot from USB or DVD to start the setup. You can pretend to disable secure boot in the BIOS but it will still refuse to boot from non HP media. You can create one set of recovery disks or a recovery USB thumb drive but if that is damaged or lost they will charge you for a replacement DVD set. So you are restricted to how you install an OS and you will be charged should anything happen to the OS or original hard drive if your one copy of recovery media isn't available when you need it.

Very good inexpensive computer
This computer was a very good deal for the price that I paid for it. It's very reliable and I would recommend it to anybody looking for an inexpensive computer.

Worthless
Beyond slow. I don't even understand the logic behind making a computer with such low working memory. It's been slow from day 1. I can't even do the simplest tasks on it. Just wanted a computer to return email/online stuff & this is so disappointing. It just sits on my desk unused because it's so frustrating to use, & stallls forever it takes ages to do anything. Worthless
