Gourmet Grey 3-Pc Kitchen Essentials Set

We got these for our oldest daughter to start her off with some nice knives. While she does like them and is using them, they really aren't that great for this price point. For this price, the handles should be much better quality. The blades are sharp and they cut nicely but these aren't super comfortable in the hand when considering the purchase price. I would recommend using a wooden cutting board with these as the blades will cut into plastic cutting boards causing little pieces of plastic to mix with the food.

These are good quality knives. They are very sharp and cut well without any effort. The scissors feel equally as good in quality. They feel well made and I expect they will last. My wife works in a restaurant and remarked that they are professional quality. They are high carbon stainless steel, so I would not run them through a dishwasher, but that should be expected with something like this. Definitely recommend.

This knife is extremely sharp! Its very lightweight and easy to hold. Wusthof is a great brand, but the handle does feel a little cheap. I had thought it was wood, but it's a kind of plastic. Would be great for smaller or feminine hands, but it lacks the heft. The price is a bit high for what it is, though it does come as a 3 piece set, all of which are very sharp and perform well.

These knives feel real nice in the hand—light but still solid. The chef knife cuts clean through veggies and meat like it’s nothing, and the paring knife handles little stuff easy without slipping around. The scissors are handy too, and they come apart for cleaning which is great. I only wash them by hand, and so far no rust or loose parts at all. Handles got a nice grip and the grey looks clean. They feel balanced and not cheap. Good for daily cooking without being too fancy or bulky. Just a nice sharp set that gets the job done right.

These are high quality knives and I especially like the small paring knife. All knives are razor sharp and are ground at a narrow angle which I favor. They are secured to the full tang by rivets & the handles feel to be of good quality and durable. The shears are very robust and cut well. There is no question in my mind as to quality but I d did take off one star, only because of the price which I feel to be high, even given the quality.

Sharp knives as new knives usually are. Can’t complain about the slicing ability. But these tools feel too lightweight for me, the balance is off. The material of the handle looks cheap but seems durable enough. Still these knives don’t feel great to hold, extremely basic. I don’t think the quality matches the price point.

Great set of basics here. The six inch chef knife sliced through onions and sweet potatoes with almost no pushing; the little paring knife is perfect for peeling apples and hulls strawberries neatly while the shears come apart for cleaning which makes trimming herbs or spatchcocking a chicken simple and sanitary, though the light grey accents can pick up beet stains if I forget to rinse right away and I run each blade over a honing rod about once a week to keep that razor feel; I only hand wash and so far there is no hint of rust or wobble in the rivets.
